Legal Rocky Mountain High?

The bill, if passed by voters, will subject marijuana to essentially the same regulations as alcohol. Perfectly legal for anyone 21 and up, with at least 40 million a year in tax revenue going to schools. The dispensary system is already in place, as is the growth/production (handled by licensed growers - esentially, let's say you have a prescription. You can own, I think, 6 plants - OR - you can license your six plants to a professional grower who has a growers permit. These are same people who grow for dispensaries) The last time this type of initiative went to voters here almost 10 years ago, it was rejected 59/41%, but since then we've introduced medical marijuana, there are dispensaries everywhere it seems, and the state is making a lot of cash from it. I honestly can't see this bill failing. Thoughts? |
