Thanks, hearing just that guitar is awesome!! After reading that, I'm even more excited for this book now! The way he put those flowers on the piano for Christine was so sweet.

This is available on Amazon right now for $14.27. I preordered the hard cover version months ago but I'm debating right now if I should by the Kindle edition as well. I prefer reading on the Kindle but I think I want the actual book to see the pictures better. I'm sure I'll cave and get both, I'm all about instant gratification

Just got done reading "Making Rumours"......

It's definitely not a tell all book.... Any kind of tidbits about FM is nothing really we haven't heard before.... He does pepper the book with his own life events - as well he should, this is his book....

This book, imho, is for the sound techies that want to know the 'hows' and 'whats' of the recording process and the lost art of the engineer/producer - which Ken points out frequently. Occassionaly, he writes directly to someone who was born after 1990, i.e. the various descriptions of the '70's technology he had to manuver.

At the end though, he mentions Tusk, Mirage, and Live only to say, "that's another story"....

Overall, I'm glad he didn't reveal too much about the band - it's not his place...

Were there a lot of pictures? I should say, were there a lot of "new" pictures you don't see often? Still can't decide if I should buy the Kindle version, wait for the hardcover, or both.

I got the iBook version.... There were some pix that were candid, mostly personal to his life... Some of the band and techs were other takes of what's been published... A few a Lindsey's burnette girlfriend  during the Sausalito duration of Rumours... But there's really only about 20-30 pix in the iBook version

He does mention CAH and has a pretty pix of her....

However, again, the book is mostly about how the songs were recorded tech wise....
