Say a prayer for my Dad.
 

As you all probably heard ,My dad has been suffering with prostate cancer.He is not doing good now.He lost alot of weight.118 lbs from 145 lbs.Not eating.The doctors said we might have to put him into a nursing home or a hospice.His mind is not right.He is 79 years old in april he will turn 80 God willing.The doctors will do the best to keep him comfurtable.plus try some new meds .

I'm sorry Macfanforever to hear that your Dad has cancer.That he may have to go into a hospice. I'm sending him and you and your family positive energy and my prayers. Take care.

Thanks guys.As of now he will be admitted to the hospital for about 4 days to get food and liquids into him infuse into his body.Doctors said to me .he had stage 4 prostate cancer,which the cancer is spreading into his bones.Yes we are sorry to do it.but he needs 24 hour care in a hospice or a nursing home.We are not trained to do it.As long they make him feel good the best they can do.

Your family is in my thoughts Mac!! My grandmother is turning 80 saturday and she has Alzheimers(sp) shes not bad but she has her good and bad days.

Thanks guys.I did talk to him on the phone earlier tonight.he feels ok with the pain meds.Me and my sister will be going to see him tomorrow.

Thanks for the prayers guys .Here's an update on my dad.The doctors put him into a hospice now.he's holding on his own.His mind is wandering probably because of the meds The place is set right on the shore with the beautiful view out of the window.The nurses are very friendly there.We are taking day by day.He has his good days and bad days.

As I see it. In the next 15 to 20 years .I would not mind being sent to this hospice.

Thanks guys for your support..I was with my dad the last few days and nights.helping him eat he ate a little last night but he's eating less and less.The nurse and the CNA are keeping him comfortable in the meantime.His friends and family were visiting him the last few days which makes him happy.They change his meds so he's been sleeping hard for the last 2 days.he did not sleep good for almost 6 days.I cant blame him on that with all the noise going on there.

I just got a call from my sister .She got a call from the Hospice,1.05am EST usa time.

My Dad is on his way to heaven to be with my mom and sister.RIP Dad.I love you.
