Today, friday 16th December 2011.
 

Today I am sitting in work just like any other Friday afternoon fixing away at a bunch of computers as usual. Ipod plugged in and Try for the Sun Playing lovely in the background Under the Skin album playing away. The other two in the office are feeling the vibe and seem to like the song but say nothing. Probably not even knowing who it is thats playing.

However this is not any ordinary Friday as described in the previous paragraph..
Beacause at this very minute I should be sitting at a sound check with Lindsey Buckingham, getting photos, autographs and having the best day of my life, something ive been hoping for for 10 years or more.

Cast away dreams, is playing,.

This is a terrible day.

Ditto from me too - having great deal of difficulty coming to terms with the disappointment, devastation and total let down! :distress:

Hey Paul I really feel your pain, should be there with you right now having the craic, gutting :( However a few days ago Tom Petty announced that he would be playing in Cork in the summer. That's really eased my pain, hope something comes along soon to cheer you up too :wavey:

Also, last night Tom Petty sat down for a few hours and responded to several fans' questions over Twitter. Lindsey has yet to change his webpage to say cancelled as opposed to postponed. I don't feel the need to say any more on that issue......

re m&g, i saw yesterday my old message to someone from the time these dates first appeared, and i was saying how jealous i am of everybody in UK and Ireland b/c you guys had those soundcheck / meet &greets available that we did not have in the US...:distress:

actually, i think LB should really consider having soundcheck + meet&greets like the ones offered to you also in the US:wavey:. not every date probably so it's not too demanding on him, but maybe one in each time zone or something...

Sorry Paul... You never know though, perhaps Buckingham will try to really one-up himself when Neale gets better and really give back to the fans in some way for canceling the UK leg. Think positive! Something good will come of it. :thumbsup:

I would love to think he would make it up to us but Live Nation told me that re-scheduling dates couldn't be coordinated for the whole of 2012. And maybe then he's probably going to get busy with the Mac. I really think we've lost this time! :distress:
