Where is the reason...

I don't know who The HoHo's are but I am now an instant fan. This spot on cover of Stevie's infamous dressing room Wild Heart video is absolutely brilliant in so many ways.

Everybody seems to be making cover/spoof videos of this lately. I love it.

They're so cute.

And.. I think .. at least maybe one of them is a girl?

RockAlot 11-01-2011 06:07 PM

Wow .They are awesome. great acting.I did notice alot of covers of this version lately.Somebody got to tell Karen to have Stevie to find the masters of this and put them on a bonus DVD for the docu DVD.

The Ho Hos were one of the highlights of NOTS for me when we went. They did the most clever version of Stand Back from the Red Rocks show. Only a true fan would get the hilarious attention to detail:

Well
Done.

Aussie W/Heart 11-01-2011 09:14 PM

:laugh::laugh: that was brilliant!!!!!

I had a good laugh over that.:laugh: I love when people parody Stevie. She's ripe for it, but it's always done in good humor, with underlying respect for her. It's clear that they are fans.

I noticed in the early portion of the video, the backstage man ushering Stevie to the stage was wearing a concert t-shirt from The Other Side of the Mirror. I spotted it immediately because I have that shirt.

Do the Ho Hos exclusively parody Stevie? I know nothing about them. They certainly put a lot of effort in their productions.

And I love how the "good" Stevie is Stevie in the closeups and the "bad" Stevie is Stevie from the actual concert, and every time you see good Stevie she's perfectly composed and calm but when you see bad Stevie she's kind of running around out of control. And did you notice during the end the bad Stevie does a little of the Red Rocks Edge yell and then she holds up the dove. I almost pee'd myself.

And speaking of the dove, is it just me or when Stevie's being led offstage in the real Red Rocks video and she's holding the dove, it looks like it's trying to fly away and Stevie kind of crushes it. And maybe I read way too much into it but it always appeared to me that a roadie is trying to take it from her and she's crushing it even more going "No, it's MY dove.... my dove". Have I seen this too many times? LOL!

That was fun! I wished there would be a demo of that version of the song because I consider it significantly better than the album version (although that had great vocals). I know there is an instrumental demo, but still it would be a great thing to have.

I agree with Macfanforever, find those masters and release that version!

Holy ****!! This is BRILLIANT!!
