Alternate "Storms"

Just broke out the remastered TUSK this past week, in honor of my all-time favorite album's 32nd anniversary. I was really blown away by the alternate version of "Storms!"
Now, I could never imagine replacing the original, but I LOVE what they were trying to do here...VERY edgy, and unlike anything Stevie had ever done before (or, really, since!). It was sort of like Christine with "Ricky!"

If there is a new Fleetwood Mac album in the next year or two, I hope Stevie is open to trying something new and adventurous like this...it showed a whole other side to her, and I loved it!!!

I will have to listen to this again. I didnt remember it being different, but it has been a while since I listened to the remasters. I really like the alternate version of GDW on the other remastered cd (obscure album, can't think of the name:laugh:)

I have had that CD playing in my car all week! Just today I was listening to the alternate Storms and really appreciating the atmosphere they created with that mix. I CANNOT get enough of that entire disc! The alternate Sara is probably my favorite song. Period. I need to buy the remastered and expanded Rumours...it's just annoying to pay shipping, and no one sells it around here.

I definitely enjoy the alternates/outtakes/demos on the Tusk Remaster. Storms is one of my all time fav songs, and I love getting a glimpse of it's gestation. Interestingly enough, the way the band performs the song live these days is pretty darn close to the Tusk outtake.

Also, for those who may not have given it a chance, do listen to the Camper Van Beethoven remake of Storms... I think it's divine:
