Stevie Nicks on Polish chart

I don't know if this information is important to You, but I thought it would be nice to share some of chart statistics from my country concerning Stevie Nicks. As I wrote some time ago, in Poland Stevie Nicks is rather known as a Fleetwood Mac's singer than solo performer. Chart positions mirror that common conviction. The chart positions that I'd like to present You come from Polish Radio 3 (one of the very few radio stations that was playing so-called "imperialistic" music during communism era).

1. Edge of Seventeen [peak position #17, 2 weeks on the chart]
2. Stand Back [peak position #27, 2 weeks on the chart]
3. I Can't Wait [peak position #17, 12 weeks on the chart]

So, Stevie has had 3 Top 40 singles in Poland. Not bad :)

Well, to be honest with You, only one DJ-Marek Niedźwiecki (who works for "Golden Hits Radio") was playing "Secret Love" on the air, but not too often...On his blog he put splendid review of "In Your Dreams" and that was all. "For What It's Worth" went unnoticed :(

I still have not heard Secret Love or FWIW on OZ radio yet.. great to hear that Polish stations are playing SL.. Though i still think songs like IYD's, GAG or Moonlight may of sparked at least some interest on our radio waves here in Australia.. Oh well!! it is what it is..

It's funny, because I've always thought, that Poland is probably the only country in the world that doesn't play Stevie's solo music in bigger proportions :) Now I realize, that even in US people can have certain problems with getting to hear their favourite music on the air. I must admit, that I made a little "research" concerning popularity of "Secret Love" in my homeland and found a forum, on which people were quite furious that this song got tons of airplay by Dj-Marek Niedźwiecki :) Can you imagine this? "Secret Love" being overplayed in...Poland? :) I don't know how it was, but I've heard "Secret Love" only twice :(
