My guess is she's going home for some R&R after being on the road much of the past 6 months. She always seems to like to bring her A-game when she goes Down Under. :)

Who knows, she may be taking some of that freshly earned touring money and is going on vacation instead! :woohoo:

I wish I wish..but how long would we have to wait for that.....she should start writing a book while waiting for lindsey to finish his tour ...and will he ever let Dave behind the desk...i dont think...

Jondalar 09-14-2011 01:21 AM

I think if the Mac tours before they make an album, they won't make an album. Not only will they be tired of each other, but they will saturate the market so if they were to go out and make an album afterward, they wouldn't be able to tour for it. Without a tour to support the album, the album would be a commercial failure.

Screw a Fleetwood Mac tour. Are people nuts? Stevie and Lindsey are on a roll. Get that Buckingham/Nicks album out. Fleetwood Mac is not the same without Christine McVie. They're only sorta hot right now because of Stevie.

With Chris being out of the band, they will probably never release any new BN material. They would need a drummer and bassist for a BN album anyway and they'd make a whole lot more money by hiring Mick and John to fill those spots and make it a Fleetwood Mac album rather than BN. They do need to release BN on CD and create a package with new recordings, but if they do, I doubt it will be anything big and it would probably end up being attached to Fleetwood Mac in some way (as in rereleased on CD with an extra CD of demos or new takes on the old songs, but sold/promoted during a Fleetwood Mac tour). So I wouldn't hold my breath.

Is it at all possible to gather together the original Buckingham Nicks band?
Would they be interested in trying to recreate their unique sound again and would Waddy be available?

Waddy is pretty much on call to Stevie, so if she wanted him, I bet he'd be available for BN.

A few UK tour dates would be lovely please :)

Keep doing what she has been doing all year. Stevie needs to keep her name out there for the Grammy nominations which are in December.

Amen. Let's face it, if the chemistry was still there then they would have already made another album. The fact that the question of making another FM record is constantly being revisited proves the fact that the desire/motivation/spark just isn't there. If it was, they would be in the studio doing it rather than talking about it endlessly. I think the making of SYW and it's subsequent dismal reception cemented FM's recording future.
