So most of the reviews are in...

With all the fantastic reviews, Do you think this album is Grammy worthy and do you think it will get a Grammy nod?.... Will Warners "big machine" squeeze him out? And how weird would it be if LB and SN both got nominated? It would be a huge vindication if he did got a Grammy nod after Warners dropped him.

I tend to think that Grammys are heavily fueled by the major corporate machine. Lindsey didn't even use an Indie label for SWS... he pretty much released it all by himself (thought it was distributed by a small Indie label). The Recording Industry is a machine... and Lindsey has eschewed the existing mechanics this time around. His chances at a Grammy nomination are pretty close to nil, IMO.

agree. similar sentiment from one of today's reviews:
"Buckingham has apparently unfurled his third digit to the record industry, which means you’ll probably never hear his new music on the radio again, but those who take the time to check out what he’s doing will be rewarded for their effort." (http://www.kinston.com/entertainment...uckingham.html)

Well, you know, the big machine makes money, and the little machine kinda is for creativity, you know? So I think it'll be satisfying to not win a Grammy, or even be nominated. Kinda sticks it to the big machine, himself, the fans, and everyone else. Win-win.
