hope so, it would make sense since it's a "single". although i wouldn't mind if it's TTWLG either.

I hope for.....Seeds We Sow....electric.

That would make a fab single too.

Totally Agree with You Greald, Seeds we sow electric is a real catchy track, it has an instant likeability factor. A crowd pleaser for sure.

Rock on TV Preview: Lindsey Buckingham Brings Virtuouso Guitar Chops to 'Conan'
Also: Roger Daltrey rocks 'Leno' and the Antlers on 'Fallon'

Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham will make a rare late night television appearance tonight when he drops by the set of Conan to perform a number from his brand new solo album Seeds We Sow. The guitarist – who recorded, performed and released the new disc entirely on his own – will likely perform with a backing band, but will definitely showcase his talent for dazzling, high-speed finger-picked guitar melodies.

Lindsey Buckingham - Conan, TBS 11:00 p.m.

Jim Jones Revue - Late Show with David Letterman, CBS 11:35 p.m.

Roger Daltrey - Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC 11:35 p.m.

The Antlers - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, NBC 12:35 a.m.

You know? I think it's possible that he recorded the acoustic version first and had to get the serious reflective feel of that song of his chest- as if he wanted to ridicule it a bit- and fooled around, got possessed and finished it as a fullblown funtrack.

acoustic version makes sense - with the way words and music fit together. electric version sounds like he just wanted to fool around. maybe he heard about all the hate for ta-ta-tas and decided to use the same singing, delete ta-ta-tas and make the arrangement ultra-happy (like a kid on sugar-rush, somebody commented on twitter)?! :p

that all said, i waaaaay prefer electric version to acoustic!

Nico 09-06-2011 02:47 PM

I prefer the electric version of SWS as well!!! It's the side of Lindsey that I always feel so proud to be a fan of- that quirky, singularly zany, mad-sceintist approach that some people just  over...frankly, I'm grateful that he gave us both sides of his personality in this song.

shackin'up 09-06-2011 02:48 PM

Oh, I can't choose. I like the acoustic a lot. Music an lyric are a perfect match there. I actually love the ta-ta-ta's. But the fun of the electric is so groovy and humourous...no comparison possible...

I think it's a win-win because the song is quite stunning one way and too much fun the other way. Sooo...which one do you think he'll play in concert?;)

acoustic. if he really does 8-9 new songs, at least 6 are full-band, so he'd need to balance that w/ some acoustic numbers.

Oh yes. I gave a class about creativity and widening your own perspective through relativizing ( using humour or deconstruction) today. I opened the lecture with both versions back to back. Hey, I can't help it that I have to work too this week; why not using his music in my work?
