Eyes of the World

Ok I'm not sure if you all are aware of this but I have noticed that each member of FM has a different sort of quality and feeling when you look into their eyes. There's something special in everyone of them:nod:. Here's what I have noticed:

Mick Fleetwood - Mick has two sort of feelings in his eyes. When he was younger and whenever he plays drums now he has a crazy, sort of manic look in his eyes. It's very kind of satanic and insane looking. However, in most of his interviews now he seems to have a more calm and comforting look in his eye. However as soon as he sits down at those drums...

John Mcvie - This man has the softest most gently looking eyes I have ever seen! Seriously that was the one of the first things I noticed about him when I saw him. They look so calm and peaceful and just gentle...I could seriously stare at his eyes and feel at ease. He still has it now which refutes any claims that he used to get that from "certain substances" haha

Christine Mcvie - She also has calm eyes like John but in a different sort of way. She has very "chilled out eyes that to me look cheerful most of the time. They have a brightness to them that is very magnetic. Plus the color of her eyes is simply stunning...almost as magnetic as...

Lindsey Buckingham - Hot damn! I could look into his eyes all day. But for a completely different reason than I would want to look into John's. Lindsey's eyes are dark and mysterious. Which is a contrast to their light color. He probably has the most beautiful eyes of the entire band...and the contrast with his brown hair doesn't hurt either;). I would love to just stare at his eyes for an hour or two.

Stevie Nicks - OK she has the most mysterious eyes. The most stunning I have seen her eyes would be the "Gypsy" video. To me that is exactly what her eyes are. You get the sense that she is very understanding. Also, when she is sad looking into those eyes makes you want to give her a big hug. She has huge, gorgeous brown eyes so it's fairly easy to read them. However, despite the definite sweetness, she has a definite fire in them. I would NOT wanna cross her when she was mad. Let alone be the cause of her madness! But seriously Stevie's eyes are killer. So awesome!

OK this post goes to show what boredom can lead to. I am not tired so I got to thinking about how all of their eyes were so different and decided to do this post...hope you guys enjoy:wavey:

Good subject! I enjoyed reading your post, Goldy. I especially agree with what you say about John's eyes. They kind of slope downwards, which gives him a very attractive, slightly dozy quality. And yes, Chris has the most incredible green eyes! Very beautiful.

Something I've noticed about Stevie's eyes is that they're such a deep, dark brown that they often appear quite flat. This photo here, though, is from the Stand Back video shoot in which I think the photog was deliberately trying to get catchlights in her eyes - and he almost manages it! If you enlarge this pic, you can see that her eyes are a really rich chestnutty brown, almost mahogany-like. (I spend too much of life looking at Stevie pics on Tumblr blogs!).

God she looks gorgeous in that picture! I see what your saying about her eyes though. They definitely have a larger tint to them than they usually do. Sometimes her eyes look almost black to me but in this photo they look more like what I would presume her natural color is. If you don't mind my asking what are catchlights? I assume something to the effect of putting a light in a particular place to get a certain result from it?

Also, about the tumblr thing? Your not the only one;)

Stevie's eyes usually photograph so dark & piercing. The effect is jarring, given how vulnerable the rest of her physicality tends to appear.

Yes, exactly that. A photog will pour light into the subject's eyes to illuminate the iris and get some vibrancy going on. Sometimes there's so much light that, if you can get close enough, you can see objects or whole rooms in there. :)
