Tango In The Night UK TV ad

Ahoy there Ledgies! I'm new here but have been a frequent visitor over the years, and finally have something to say...

I've just stumbled across this amazing slice of nostalgia - do any of you other Brit Ledgies remember this lovely advert for Tango In the Night in 87? It was my entry point into Mac territory, and frankly I never thought I'd see it again! I just think it's so lovely that a Warner Bros marketing type somewhere decided to commission such a great piece of animation to promote the album. It certainly worked on me as I bought it in all formats - even the 'clear cassette'.

They used stills from the ad for the Family Man single sleeve, and I seem to remember two special 'art prints' in the boxed edition of the single too.

Enjoy a trip down memory lane...

That is great. Thinking of seeing that for the first time, hearing their voices, but not seeing their faces. Makes my heart beat.

I remember that ad. I was living in Holland at the time and they ran it there too, the exact same thing. They probably used the same ad for western Europe. Thanks for posting this!

There was also a nice ad for the Greatest Hits the following year, with very stylised animated versions of each of the band members. Maybe that one will turn up one day too!
