Bethel Woods venue...bunches of questions

I have a bunch of questions about this venue.
Has anyone been to a show there recently and if so can you tell me if they are strict about SLR cameras? On the official web page it says no interchangable lens cameras, but I don't know if they are strict about it. Also it says no recording devices....again, do they really check you out??
These probably sound really stupid, but all my concert experiences have been in the west and I've never had a problem with security either recording or photographing as long as I didn't use a flash and it wasn't super obvious.
One more thing. Does anyone know how large the area in front of the stage is and if they allow you to be up there from the beginning of the concert to dance or just stand ;)
I don't want to take a bunch of stuff with me that I won't be able to use, so any info, even stuff I didn't ask about, would be very much appreciated!!!! Thanks.

No cameras .No tape,No video is standard at most venues. Also up to the artist too.

I've never been to Bethel Woods myself .So thats a good question.Probably no.Also I hope Stevie's crew will have a talk to the security people about the Edge walk before they will get surprised when it comes up.

Thanks for your comments.
You know, I have never missed a show of FM or Stevie since 1978 or 79 and I have never had any problems with security. The last show I went to was in Tahoe and we had 3rd row tics that we never even went to. Just walked right up to the stage. Did the same thing at FM in Tacoma a couple of years ago. Most all the shows I've been to have been in Northen Calif, and several others out here in the west. Don't know why there's such a difference between coasts, or venues....
My husband just bought this awesome digital mic, it's about the shape and size of an x-large egg and records in professional quality. If I could get the whole show on that I'd be in heaven for a long while to come. Plus you all would be too cause I'd share!!! ;)

Ooh -Wally World! Is that Wallingford? Used to live there. I think Irene-s should be able to get into shows for free this weekend!

snicksfan85 08-25-2011 08:50 PM

I'm pretty sure Bethel is good. If it weren't, I'm pretty sure my radio guy who has been giving me daily calls checking to make sure I'm still coming would let me know.
