Converting people one Edge of 17 at a time!

At least she recognizes it.

I took my cousin with me to the ATL concert (who, for the record, is three years older than me, and as a side note, we have another cousin named Rhiannon so it's not as if our family is unaware of FM/Stevie) and she said she didn't recognize a single song. She stood up most of the time just out of like, courtesy, but she just stood there. I was like.. what. I figured she would at least know EO17, Dreams, Rhiannon, Landslide, GDW, Stand Back, L&L.. I figured she had to know ONE OF THOSE.

She didn't.

I was appalled.

LOL.

On Twitter someone was confused on Gypsy. They said, "Wait, Fleetwood Mac did Gypsy? I thought that was a Stevie Nicks song." I had to explain to them that Stevie was in Fleetwood Mac and is one of their three songwriters. She had no clue.

Oh, baby fans. They're so cute.

Yeah, one of my facebook friends (that I don't think I've actually ever talked to) quoted some lyrics from Landslide, and I was really excited, until she creditied the Dixie Chicks!!! I told her to try the FM version...

Whenever someone tells me she is a witch, instead of arguing with them I just agree with 'em.

GoldDustWoman22 08-18-2011 06:53 PM

Well atleast she knew the song? I can't imagine not knowing that "Edge of 17" was a Stevie song. Even before I became a real "fan" I knew that Stevie sang it and such. However, the other day my friend and I were driving and I was blaring "In Your Dreams" and she was looking at the CD cover and goes "Stevie Nicks she was in that Fleetwood Mac band right:distress:. However she kind of made up for it when she asked me how old she was...I told her and she about had a panic attack. She could not believe that she was 63. We both agreed that we would kill to look like her at that age

What I don't get is all this ignorance is going on in the first few rows, where most of us jump through hoops and pay through the nose for. Where are they people getting these seats from and why are they allowed to be there?

When I went to an Unleashed show at MSG and had 7th row, this family of 4, including 2 young kids, parked in front of us, sat through the first half and then left. WTF??
