Steven Tyler designing rock-n-roll clothing

Steven Tyler Designing Rocker Clothes Line
August 11, 2011

Steven Tyler, frontman for the rock band Aerosmith, who is also known as the 'Demon of Screamin' is launching a clothing line called Andrew Charles. The rocker inspired clothing is being created by the singer and designer Tommy Hilfiger's brother, Andy. Looks like the rocker will be keeping busy, as usual.

According to KOIN, the women's garments will be influenced by the style of Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. The menswear will be based on the American Idol judge's own style, which some people think is eccentric.

Steven Tyler, who is 63, and Chelsea, his 22-year-old daughter from his marriage with clothing designer Teresa Barrick, will be featured in an advertising campaign modeling the clothing line. The Andrew Charles line will be available in September at Macy's department store.

Fans can expect to pick from some of their favorite unique looks of the rock stars collection, although some fans of the genre have found ways to design their own hardcore rock looks. How will the collection compare to the truly unique home-made clothes? Who knows, but at least Steven Tyler doesn't dress his age!

If these clothes are actually Stevie-esque and cute, I will be his best customer.

Boy, Steven Tyler sure looks like an elderly drag queen these days!

I really can't remember in which magazine -- maybe GQ? -- but Steven Tyler was asked sometime in the early '90s what he'd be like if he were a woman. His answer: "I'd dress like Stevie Nicks before she gained weight."

I guess he really meant it!

The thing with Stevie's style of dress always, is that it's such a unique look most women would never wear. And probably why you'll never find these sort of cool things in a department store. So keep dreaming.

Yay I will totally check this out once it becomes available! I absolutely adore Stevie's outfits ! Can't wait to see what the result is.

But Steven's style is totally ripped off from Stevie in the first place, isn't it? Wouldn't the men's and women's clothes be identical??

(You know... "moves" stolen from Jagger, screams stolen from Nugent, clothes stolen from Nicks.)

And for that matter, should never wear.
