The "B-Side & Soundtrack" [Part Two) Survivor Challenge - Round Three
Here is what lost so far:
Round One - Somebody Stand By Me Round One - God's Garden Round Two - It's Late Round Two - Real Tears Onto Round Three... |
Why are Gold and Whenever I Call You Friend still here? She's not singing lead on either of them, nor are they credited to her. They shouldn't have been on Enchanted either.

Whenever I Call You Friend, on the other hand, needs to take its leave...and pronto. |

Gold and Crystal, to go.
Stevie's vocal on Whenever I Call You Friend is possibly the single greatest bit of singing she has ever done. I wouldn't advocate it to win this match, but I'm in no hurry to see it go. |
The intro of Whenever I Call You Friend always freaks me out. It sounds like a ghoulish church hymn.

I really can't stand the music for Touched by an Angel but understand it could have a deep meaning for a lot of people but sorry, I still voted for it.
Need I reiterate my distaste for Free Fallin? Makes me cringe. Anyone who votes for Crystal needs a labadmy . Hee hee! The only way this could honestly be justified is if you just like other versions better but the song itself is sheer perfection both lyrically and musically. I especially like the PM version of the music extended at the end and her going "IIIII turned around and the water was closing around meeee aaah ahhhh". |

"Crystal" & "Free Fallin'" got my votes. I admit that I almost voted for IYEDB - I greatly prefer the bounce of the demo & feel the Practical Magic versions of both Stevie songs drag.

I personally love her cover of Free Fallin'.
I LOVE Crystal, as a song. But I'm not crazy about this version of it, sadly. That said, Mirror Mirror and Gold got my votes. |
"Gold" and "WICYF"
Still can't believe my "Real Tears" went so soon... :( |
