What Bands/Artists do you wish had more than one album?

Over the years we've heard from bands or singers that only released one or two albums, what are some of your faves that only did this & you wish they had a greater success?

I know Journey had alot of side bands (or members) of the band did back in the late 80's & early 90's, alot of great bands came out of Journey like Bad English, The Storm & Hardline, they released some great albums but never heard from them again!

Hmmm... Sheriff's album was quite good, sounded a bit like Foreigner mixed with Journey. Temple of the Dog and Derek and the Dominos were good too. At the moment Adam Lambert only has one album, keeps delaying the next one :'(

Buckingham Nicks -don't even dare entertain the notion that Say You Will was BN II
The Sex Pistols
Derek and the Dominos
Blind Faith
Mad Season (Layne Staley from Alice in Chains solo album)

John and Beverly Martyn released Stormbringer in 1971. This album is my unknown Buckingham Nicks record. They released a 2nd album which wasn't as good as the first and then their marriage broke up. John went on to release many more albums and we've never heard from Beverly again.

On the one hand, I wish they had had more albums; on the other hand, they are the undisputed greatest one-offs OF ALL TIME:

Sex Pistols
Son of Bazerk

I wish Florence and the Machine would hurry the hell up......GOD!! lol:laugh:

New Radicals-I would do very shameful things to get another album as good as their only one.

That was my first thought, too.
Also, I know this is a complilation & not a band, but I like the soundtrack to Fast Times at Ridgmont High. A sequel to the film would stink, but maybe its accompanying soundtrack would be good. (Ahh, the days of soundtracks that had no rap, hip-hop, or techno stuff.)

A few more I'd like to add!

Terri Nunn (Berlin's lead singer) released a solo album in 1991 called 'Moment of Truth', that's the first & last solo album from her but atleast she still tours & records under Berlin!

Boston had a few members or atleast Brad Delp record under a side band called 'RTZ' in the early 90's. They had a great hit with 'Until Your Love Comes Back Around', sadly, Brad passed away a few years ago!

Tami Show was a band out of Chicago that released two albums in the late 80's & early 90's, their 1991 album is a gem called 'Wanderlust'.

I know there's more.... lol

Easy...

Blind Faith
Derek & the Dominos
Lowell George
(solo albums...despite being the guiding force in Little Feat doesn't count)
It's A Beautiful Day
Buckingham Nicks
(that they joined Fleetwood Mac & released many more doesn't count)

From the vantagepoint of nearly 37 years of hindsight I'd have to say that Fleetwood Mac "joined" Buckingham Nicks as much as they joined Fleetwood Mac at least soundwise.Fleetwood Mac 1975 and Rumours in particular sound more like the Buckingham Nicks album than any previous Fleetwood Mac album IMHO.

Buckingham Nicks
Four Non Blondes
(One live album without new material does NOT count)
Mumford And Sons need to get their skates on and release new material. I want them to top their fantastic "Sigh No More".

Good choice Chili - I have Thanks, I'll Eat It Here on vinyl - it was a good find!

Mine are:

The Alice Band - The Love Junk Store (2002). Their only album and I have no idea what happened to them since and it's been tough to find out.

Dana Glover - Testimony (2003). American singer/songwriter with a fantastic voice! Her song Thinking Over has been since used in a few movies but I bought the album when it was first out and I think I was the only one who bought it after hearing her single on the radio. She's vanished too which is a real shame. One album and I'd love another one.

Judee Sill - Judee Sill (1972) and Heart Food (1974) - I put Judee up there with Joni Mitchell in terms of lyrics and if she hadn't had such personal issues I'm sure we'd have had more beautiful music. She sadly dies in 1978 or 9. People only really know her song Jesus Was A Crossmaker, but usually from cover versions. Both her albums are spectacular.

Does anyone know any of these albums? Especially the first two? I've never been able to discuss them with anyone!

Jeff Buckley - his Grace album is a masterpiece and coincidentally, what I was listening to in my car today.

It's to bad we didn't hear more from this group!;):D
