In Our Own Time- Album Verison
So I was looking to see who is distributing Lindsey's album and I found this...
http://www.fontanadistribution.com/ Look what's over in the player on the side of the page. |
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU!!!:blob2::blob1::wavey:
This song is amazing. I love it. I really, really love it. Wow. |
HOLY S H I T this is amazing, I'm lost for words by how amazing this is! The vocal blend in the mix is killer, and the guitar oh good god the guitar!
|
Dude. Dude. Dude.
Thank you so much for sharing. I love it. |
Why can't I get it to play?:(
|
He's got the production right! It's much more oddball than I was expecting it to be. The percussion is computer-y but not in the same was as GI. The pre-chorus guitar was a shock as well.
It's totally different to the live version as well so it'll be great to have both versions once the DVD is released. The whole thing ends sounding more like something from GI than from OOTC. I don't know that I'd say anything from OOTC was this left of centre. |
This is what I had hoped for. Weird, catchy, brilliant sloppy rythmtrack, cacaphonic vocals. And how he delivered! Friggin' spectacular!
|
WOW !!!
Love the new Song, how did he create that. I am blown away I absolutely love that Quirky new Sound. The Stereo Sound with the headphones is amazing if you havent tried it already. I also just want to note how bang on lindsey's voice id on that song. he back 20 years easily. Too Good. Too Bad I'm in work till 5pm then Home, Internet, Repeat Repeat Repeat. |

It's very folksy.

Love it. Wasn't crazy at all about Seeds We Sow (the song) but I love this.
I think I'll like SWS better live. |
I love that the crazy chorus guitar riffs weren't just a live adaptation! The percussion's a little jarring (it's a drum machine!!!) but I'll get used to it. Vocals sound great, not too computerized or whispered.
Just pre-ordered yesterday and this can't come soon enough. Really want to know what the album version of That's The Way Love Goes sounds like... |
This is the song that is also supposed to be released as a single, right?
|
The guitar work through the last minute of the song is stellar.
I don't like his voice. I wish he'd just gone natural with it and it seems like the whole album is going to plagued with that sped up stuff. I particularly regret it on the chorus. When he jumps in and says, "it wouldn't make any difference, we crossed the line . . ." the verse seems to have a whole lot less force and impact than it did live. Still it's a great song and I'm thrilled about the album. I have to say that it kind of stung me when Stevie said that she never really loved a solo album of his since Law & Order. First of all, I'm surprised she liked Law & Order. Secondly, the fact that she didn't like Gift of Screws is disappointing to me. As far as Lindsey taking melody and lyric pills, UTS had some nice (if light) melodies and some sensational, poetic lyrics. Although, I can understand if she didn't like those words. God Save the Queen:laugh:. Michele |
