Sarah Cracknell and The Magic Numbers to perform Rumours live.

e Magic Numbers and Saint Etienne's Sarah Cracknell are to perform Fleetwood Mac's classic album Rumours in its entirety at this year's Truck Festival.

The group will also be backed by Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou, organisers Robin and Joe Bennett's band The Dreaming Spires and other special guests during the final performance at the Oxfordshire festival on July 24.

I love this since I put Sarah second on my list of artists I'd like to join Fleetwood Mac. Her voice is iconographic.

Oh--and I forgot to add. Recently I sent a friend of mine "Love Shines" to prove there was good music made by the Mac during the period that Lindsey left. He responded saying that the song didn't do much for him, BUT that hearing "Loves Shines" made him realize that Sarah Cracknell's genesis was in Christine McVie.

Come to think of it, I would love St. Etienne to cover "Love Shines" (or any Christine Mac track).

It's quite bizzare that the Magic Numbers are covering the entire Rumours album. Though, I can't wait to hear it!

I saw the Magic Numbers in a little club in Portland several years ago. I got interested in them after reading a article that compared them vocally to the Mamas & Papas -- of which I'm a huge fan.

The Mamas & Papas group dynamic (dysfunction, indulgence, internal infidility/relationships) is often cited as the precurser to Fleetwood Mac. So now the whole thing has come full circle!

An interesting aspect of the Magic Numbers is that they consist of two brother/sister combinations.

But I know nothing about Saint Etienne's Sarah Cracknell.
