Kind of annoying that she didn't actually fully answer the question about Christine..

She has a tendency to do that, but I guess we all do it really.. we focus on the parts that we are comfortable answering.

Whoever it was that kept saying Annabel Lee was a subliminal Lindsey song, guess you were right after all haha!

That was a great interview! Thank you so much for posting!! I noticed though that Stevie changed the year she was told she had the hole in her nose from 1986 to 1984...hmm. I am just so happy that she was able to succeed in getting off the drugs ! I admire her strength so much! Truly inspiring!! Thanks again for the interview!!!

Great interview, I wished it was longer. Is it just me or is Mama opening up more lately about all the ("we were young, beautiful, wild, love around every corner, moving fast, meeting all these gorgeous talented men all the time"), in other words, "SEX" she had back in the day...Is she bragging lol... Sounds like she just couldn't resist all the temptation. Maybe its at 63, she just doesn't care anymore about what people think and is just being honest.. I love it, jealous, but I love it. I don't think she has been this vocal about her sex life. I'm kinda proud of her, she unapologetic, as she should be, just stating the facts.

Thanks for the interview. She mentioned the demo tape disappearing and reappearing again. It's to bad if a friend,co-worker or a sibbling would do something like that.

Fair point considering her recent comments to Oprah, about how she and Christine were guarded so heavily they had to play tiddly winks in their padlocked rooms with nun chaperones.

The Almanac/living room demos have been circulating for over 20 years. I suspect that this is another little Stevie Story where events become timless and are recombined. One of her favourite topics at the moment is internet piracy and I think this is now an animated example! The strange irony is that had those tapes been burned or lost or whatever that very crime would have been the saviour of the demo!
We have all benefited and enjoyed these demos for years and I cant help but feel a bit on the guilty side even though it wasnt me who stole or borrowed or whatever and break morality and trust by distributing to all for profit ...honest!

I dont know about what others think but I cant help but feel that Stevies insistence of not even remembering who secret love was about, a bit on the unbelievable side! This is a woman who has reams of journals! I think she likes the implied irony that Secret love will be a secret by destiny....Mistress of her fate!!
