Stevie references all over this week's South Park
 

First, there was a character named "Steamy Nicks" that everyone confused with Stevie Nicks...then later in the episode, they played the original version of "Landslide"....HILARIOUS!

wow, that was a surprise to watch tonights episode and it feature Fleetwood Mac's landslide to close out the show

They almost NEVER play real music on there. And they played this. This is fantastic :)

Did they use it in a mocking way? I thought the creators of South Park LOATHED Stevie?

I thought it was going to be used in a mocking way.. but I actually feel as though it harbored some sincerity. haha.
The Steamy Nicks part? - Yes. Mocking. haha.
But when they played the song, I at least felt as though it was not mocking

I just watched it. I thought it was a really funny episode!

The song actually fit the storyline perfectly. I thought the original Stevie episode (where a goat is mistaken for Stevie) was a bit funnier but this one was alright.

? where did this come from??
the only person they remotely HAD any dislike for was Barbara Streisand

In the commentary for the goat episode, Trey Parker said he did it because he hates her. :shrug:

What channel was this on so I can look fir it on a repeat broadcast? I know south park is on a ton of channels. Thanks! And "hi-dee-ho!"

No, they pretty much didn't like Mel Gibson, either. And, Isaac Hayes pissed 'em off when he quit; hence the violent way they killed off "Chef".

Stevie was featured in another episode where she - a national treasure (although she's depicted as a goat) was captured by the Taliban.

Easily the best South Park episode of the past couple of years. This season especially has been pretty bad. But this episode totally makes up for it LOL. It's odd how the use of Landslide at the end was totally reverent. :shocked:
