FM on MTV back in the 80's
 

Hi All .As I was playing with Youtube tonight I happen to come across "Tusk" from the first MTV broadcast .sorry .no time to edit .just fast forward to 5:32 "Tusk" will begin.

I love youtube! :) Fleetwood Mac were fortunate to have an album released around the time that MTV began. MTV sure has changed alot! I kept expecting snookie to pop in somewhere! :lol: And the Tusk video with the cardboard cut-out of John, hilarious!

The sound-mix is rather strange. The cardboard cut-out of John McVie is hilarious. I wonder why he could not make it to the event.
Stevie is smoking hot and sexy with in that dress, displaying her baton-twirling and marching talent!!

Notice how, in the last clip, she gets really excited and demonstrative -- apparently too much so for Lindsey. He stands up, attempting to calm her down.

The prior clip with Lee Ritenor (who?) is so aweful, but typical of a musical style of that era. Much credit to Fleetwood Mac for bucking(ham) that trend. and producing music that doesn't reek of that dated shmaltz.

That video was not from the 80's. It was 1979, but Lee Ritenor (where is he now?), provided a glimpse into what would become the worst of the 1980's

Look @ Lindsey @ 8:31. Wonder if he was annoyed @ Stevie then? LOL

Too Funny. Back in the early MTV days Fleetwood Mac and Stevie were in heavy rotation. Gypsy was on all the time as well as If Anyone Falls and Stand Back. Later on Big Love was frequently played as well.

Too bad the rest gets cut off. Stevie sat down and had like an "oops" exclamation expression on her face. Christine laughed and leaned over and said something to Lindsey after that.

LOL i'm listening to 'Rit' *right now* it's not so bad:p I like when music becomes dated,it's the only sort of 'time machine' there is.And the schmaltzier the better! I love 80's cheese pop too on occasion..you can listen to it go''WTF was this''?!! ...(so bad it's good etc.)
