This is an excerpt from an article where different stars comment on Winfrey"

"I think that Oprah's legacy is that she has made a difference and that's what we as women want to do. We want to make a difference in this world and she's made a difference in a lot of ways. She's made a difference in really fun things and she's made a difference in really serious things and she's told us stories that ... I'd never heard -- the word abuse. ... I wouldn't even know what that was. She's made a difference so for me that's why I respect her. ... She will be remembered long after she's gone." -- Stevie Nicks, who made her first appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in April 2011.

Huh? She hadn't heard the word "abuse" before?

I know we didn't talk about child abuse, sexual abuse, drug abuse, substance abuse, domestic abuse decades ago the way we talk about it now, but to say that you didn't know what it meant before, that's taking a favorable comment a bit too far.

Poor Phil Donahue. If he wasn't able to teach Stevie the word "abuse" before Oprah came along, he just wasn't doing his job.

So, as for Oprah being remembered long after she's gone, does Steph mean gone from network tv or is she anticipating that time when O bites the dust?

"When O bites the dust.". Love it.

Stevie's overuse of the word "difference" reminds me of the Wild Heart interview where she says "WILD" over and over. I love Stevie.

Also, of course Stevie didn't know what the word abuse was.

She was too busy abusing cocaine, marijuana, ballet shoes, the English language, Snoopy, logic, chiffon, and other women's husbands, etc. etc. etc.

Must Secret Loves secretly die? Yes Stevie!

I think she should have said the word "difference" a few more times...
