Fleetwood Mac reuniting again

Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks has confirmed the band will reunite next year. The group last toured in 2009 and their most recent album, "Say You Will," was released in 2003.

The singer and her bandmate Lindsey Buckingham are both busy working on solo material, but they plan to resurrect the band in 2012 once they wrap up their side-projects -- and Nicks reveals they are considering recording a new album.

She tells Perez Hilton, "When [my new] album and Lindsey's album come to a stop then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't and we'll just go on tour."

Agreed with UndoingtheLaces. I think another Mac tour would be pointless without an album to support-- I could see them "touring" without one which really means that they play a handful of shows a month for the rest of time. I don't want that until they're ALL ready to stop creating new music, and we all know that Lindsey will never hit that point and Stevie will chug along as long as she'd like. I think we'll get a new album. I can't see them throwing out another big time tour only three years after Unleashed if there isn't anything to promote.

Please, please say yes Ms. McVie...(she won't) but it would be wonderful to see them go out one...more....time

I'm in no rush for them to get back together. I'd rather see Lindsey promoting his new album at least until early spring of 2012

This article is using an offhand comment from another interview for the basis of their summation that Fleetwood Mac will indeed reconvene next year. I wouldn't pin my hopes on this info, guys.

I think they will def do something after her and Linds finish their solo albums, but when or what that thing they do will be is anybodies guess... I would like to see another BN album, but thats because I like the idea of them working together outside of "Fleetwood Mac". The album sales would be smaller, the tour venues would be smaller and I would love that. But unless they get Christine to come back to FM, then any BN work Linds and Stevie do together will be marketed as FLEETWOOD MAC just because of the name and the ease of getting John and Mick in the studio. However, I don't think it'd be too hard to get Chris back in the studio. I think they should all go into the studio together, including Chris, and work on the album from start to finish with everybody there instead of Stevie being off touring or in rehab like SYW and Tango. Then they can tour with or without Christine. They have toured without her twice now, so apparently they still sell tickets without her, I don't see what their fuss is with her recording and not touring.
