Was elated to find this finally. If you know the backstory to this appearance (according to Carol Harris' book) then you'll appreciate the "stumble." LOL!!!!

I saw this video when I was searching for them at the 1977 Grammys. As much as I loved just seeing FM in all their 70s garb, I wondered why Lindsey had the incident going up onstage...does anyone mind telling much me what the backstory is?

He took some pills out of Stevie's big huge purse she always carried around with her and was bombed out of his mind by the time they had to go onstage.

I think it's hilarious how she goes running after him - upstairs and in heels! :lol:

Anyway, according to CAH, LB was making fun of Kenny Rogers during the show - loudly and then puked on Dick Clark's shoes later...

That explains so much...Lindsey you bad boy you. Stevie looks almost frantic as she's going after him LOL! I wonder what those pills were for??

Probably none of them knew - shovel anything down their throats in those days by all accounts :lol:

Made for some funny stories though - the one regarding Mick Jagger and our Linds is hilarious! Go Lindsey!

Between Lindsey nearly falling and Stevie darting to catch him upstairs in platform boots.... this is golden.

Thanks for posting the clip of Lindsey tripping up the stairs, i think Stevie was ready to catch him even before he started to trip, knowing how wasted he was, walking like a duck to balance.. lucky for Stevie that he didn't drag her down with him, although it made me lol thinking about it.. bad me:laugh:
