Fleetwood Mac naptime CD
So as none of you know () I work as a toddler teacher at a daycare. We put on music for the kids at naptime which is usually Enya or Celtic Woman...anybody familiar with them? It's beautiful music but after hearing it for 3 hours a day, everyday for over a year it gets old. We also have an assortment of nature sound CD's but I'm not a big fan of those.
With summer coming up I thought it would be a good time to make a new naptime CD. During naptime I do dishes, sweep, mop, sanitize everything and straighten up the rooms so it would be nice to have something that I would like to listen to as well as help the kids fall asleep. So far I've come up with: Landslide (white album) Landslide (The Dance) Crystal (white album) Never Going Back Again (Rumours) Sisters of the Moon (piano demo) and then I draw a blank. I've heard about 1/2 of FM's music and very little of anyones solo work. Any suggestions? Also, the CD is not going to be entirely FM/SN/LB but I already have the other songs figured out! I also plan to make a "Feel Good" CD to listen to during free play but that is a post for another day ;) |

Hypnotized (Mystery to Me) Stephanie (Buckingham Nicks) Frozen Love (Buckingham Nicks) Songbird (Rumours) Sara (Tusk) Beautiful Child (Tusk) Tango in the Night (Tango in the Night) Silver Girl (Say You Will)** Goodbye Baby (Say You Will) **I used to hate this song, but for awhile I got passed the lyrics and just focused in on the music and now the song is something I really enjoy. |
Beautiful Child (Tusk)
I Sing for the Things (Rock a Little) Honey Hi (Tusk) Leather and Lace (Bella Donna) Never Forget (Tusk) Blue Water (demo) |
I would definitely include both Beautiful Child and Storms from Tusk. Perhaps Warm Ways and Only Over You.
...and then of course to wake them back up; Go Your Own Way and Isn't it Midnight!!! |
I use these for nap time myself, lol.
Lindsey Buckingham
Stevie
No guarantee that these will work on children though, lol. |
Albatross. :)
Warm Ways & Songbird are good. Hm. Some of the other songs mentioned would be a little too energetic for me to be able to fall asleep to. |
Man of the World ♥

Don't forget these songs from Lindsey!
I Am Waiting Flying Down Juniper All My Sorrows Say We'll Meet Again She Smiled Sweetly |
Gypsy Piano Demo is a personal favorite :)

Wow! Thanks for all the lists I really appreciate it. A lot of these songs I've never even heard of so I will definitely need to go take a listen. I want the Buckingham Nicks songs but have no idea how to find them.
It's actually surprising the music that kids can fall asleep to and stay asleep through. Sometime the next song will come on REALLY loud and I cringe just knowing someone is going to wake up...but they never do. Yet when I cough everyone is suddenly wide awake  |
I used to do that.
I had my F. Mac setlist, Pink Floyd, Elton, Carpenters. It's very relaxing |

On my iPod I have a playlist of Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks/Christine McVie songs I listen to when I sleep at night (no Lindsey on the playlist for some reason...). I swear it gives me good dreams.
There are over 50 songs on there - generally calmer ones. I'll list them when I have the chance. I'm falling asleep as I type this so if I tried now the list would probably be like "Dreams...Love Shines...aldjfakldsjfaldfjsdadsf". |
I always put on When I see you Again and i'm out in 2 seconds:lol:
