Will Stevie watch the royal "wedding of the century?"

There is just no escaping it!

I picture Stevie sitting in her chair with her chai tea, hot water bottle, and a HUGE box of tissues watching the royal wedding- she will be up at 3A west coast time.

I also imagine her saying things like, "If Lindsey and I had gotten married, this is what it would have been like!"

;)

Oh my, you little shipper you ! lol Yeah, i could def. see her watching this. I know i am :o. She IS a hopeless romantic so i could def. see her w/ her tissues, chai, etc. I don't know how much interest she has in the royals but weddings ? I could see her loving that !

She'll watch it, I think. She's a romantic.

I really hope she has better thing to do with her time...Like rehearsing new songs for her Summer Tour!

I doubt she'd miss it. She will probably watch it live. Michele

I'd be quite surpised if she didn't. I think the older generation is quite excited about it; my Grandma keeps repeating how she intends to sit infront of the TV and watch every single minute.

She's not only a romantic, but something of an anglophile. She'll totes watch.

And y'know, she knows British people. She's spent enough time with them to pronounce the word CAHHN't. That's practically the same thing as knowing William and Kate personally.

STEVEHEDRICK 04-28-2011 03:26 PM

no she has to reherse new songs for her tour!

Thank God she didn't always pronounce it that way... Can you imagine "I Cahhn't Wait"?!? LOL

I think she'll watch cuz she seems fascinated with kings, queens, castles, etc

 Anglophile indeed - she'll be watching! That is, if she has time. I wonder how she's spending these next few days leading up to the release?

I wish this wedding was over with. I tend to think I am the only one who doesn't give a crap about this nupitual. Waste of taxpayers money.

I second this. All I hear about is this wedding.
They're getting married. So what? :p

I think you're right about not being able to escape it. :) I found this quote that might show some measure of Stevie's interest. It's from http://www.inherownwords.com/poets.htm :

Quote:

As God is my witness, Tom [Petty] and I are very good friends. I just talked to Tom the night that we found out about Princess Diana, talked to him on the phone for an hour . . . . ~Stevie Nicks, Rolling Stone 772 Writers Notes/Online

Stevie was aware of Princess Diana's death. She'll certainly be aware of the royal wedding of Princess Diana's son. I suspect a happy event like this will make it into her journal in some way. Who knows--perhaps it will inspire something on the next album.
