Ugh, I love her. She's such a gorgeous woman and she still is. Plus her voice is beautiful and she's an icon by Grease alone. I didn't really follow her music career, but maybe I'll get a record because she's a part of my childhood. One of my guy friends is completely obsessed with her so I've learned a bit about her from him- though he has never really forced me to listen to her albums. :shrugs:

As of now, she has no plans to tour this year, as her daughter Chloe is getting married, and she just finished filming another movie. At least we have that to look foward to. I am still on a hunt for any pictures of Stevie and Olivia together, especially since Olivia and Chloe went backstage during the Say You Will tour in 2003. Olivia and Chloe were both nice enough to check to see if they had any pictures for me, but neither took any pictures.

Thanks for the update. It's nice to see Olivia and her daughter are fans of Fleetwood Mac.I would be interesting to see them do a swap of songs.

I know that Olivia has met Stevie a few times over the years, thanks to Steve Real, who happens to be her back-up singer and is also Stevie's vocal coach since The Dance. He is a very sweet guy. I gave him a copy of Stevie's version of Tied Up after we talked about that many years ago. Olivia did a few songs the other night at a John Denver tribute concert in Denver, and actually, she is doing a few shows Down Under over the summer , and has a book coming out as well. I am still hoping that Olivia does a few shows for us this fall. It's been too long since she toured over here.

wow .what a small world.I forgot about Steve Real. Also I like John Denver too.Olivia probably hit the casino's like Stevie's been doing lately.

P.S. I'm looking for a old tv appearance of Olivia when she was on the Perry Como's Spring Time Special which aired in late march 1975.

Olivia was my idol, along with Donna Summer during my early teen age. My first singles I bought was Jolene & Sam, just before the Grease explosion.

I remember her TV special with ABBA, I think Tina Turner was there, too.

Olivia toured last year and she did a show in Chile. I can't forgive her to skip Peru. Maybe the managers didn't get a deal, cause I know she loves Peru. In fact, she married John Easterling in 2008, in CUSCO PERU!! And.. ON MY BIRTHDAY (well.. that's not a coincidence, june 21 is the winter solstice and a sacred day for ancient incas). And it was thru a quechua ceremony. That's so cool (the ceremony was private, we learned about it few days later). Though the new said they will do the Inca Trail, that's a hard trekking, maybe they did the short (easier) road.

Olivia Newton John gets married twice
By Anita Singh 14/07/2008

Grease star Olivia Newton John has declared herself “the happiest woman in the world” after marrying not once but twice.

The 59-year-old [actress] first exchanged vows in the Peruvian rainforest, with a private ceremony conducted in the ancient language of Quechua, before doing it all again on a beach in Florida. Her new husband is health guru John Easterling, 56, founder and chairman of the Amazon Herb Company, which sells botanical supplements.

The [Quechua native] ceremony took place on June 21 in [Cusco], at the sacred Inca spot where the couple first fell in love 18 months ago while on a business trip.

The couple became engaged six months later but kept it secret from even their closest family, including Newton John’s 22-year-old daughter, Chloe.

“....we kept our two ceremonies secret and didn’t invite any guests. Even Chloe didn’t know until a couple of days before we went to Peru that John and I were to be married.”

...The couple spent their honeymoon hiking the Inca Trail before returning for the second ceremony in Jupiter Island, Florida, near Easterling’s home.

I'm also a big fan of Olivia's voice and music. That TV special with ABBA also featured Andy Gibb... I found that online a few years ago and was excited since I'm a BIG fan of all three (well anything Bee Gees/Gibb Brothers). Strange you mention that as I hadn't seen it in a long time until a couple nights ago... oddly, I noticed the music for that same special was arranged by Dennis McCarthy, which shocked me... he's a very talented television/film composer who worked heavily on Star Trek: TNG and subsequent Trek series. His stuff for that show was excellent (along with the underrated Ron Jones), but unfortunately his later output for those series was highly subdued (not nearly as interesting) thanks to Rick Berman's "sonic-wallpaper" insistence as show-runner (one of the supposed main reasons Ron Jones was let go). I always seem to end up finding the strangest links/intersections with various things I like (at least where music/TV are concerned). Mick Fleetwood appearing on an episode of Star Trek: TNG also ranks up there lol!
