Help Stevie on the Billboard!
As most of you know, Billboard Pop Songs is about the most played pop radio stations in the US in a full week. It recieves daily updates, and the Sunday updates are the OFFICIAL CHARTS.
The chart is counted on Billboard Hot 100 which is the biggest and most important single chart in the world. What I was thinking we, the fans, should do to help, is get Stevie as high on that chart as possible! Spread the word, give her a nod of appreciation after a long 10 year wait. How can you help with the song? It's EASY! Just go to each one of these links and scroll to the box at the bottom. How can you help the song ??? Very easy, all you need is to do is go to these links below and request the songs on some important stations. Only open one link at a time, or it will not work. You can re-request on each station every hour. Where it says Don't see your song above? Type it in here!, near the bottom of the page, type in "Stevie Nicks - Secret Love". You do not need to fill in the address, email etc. boxes. The only other required field is your Name. Also, MAKE SURE to fill in the confirmation code at the bottom of each page. I know those are tedious. But the benefits will pay off in the long run! http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WHTZ-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WXRK-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KIIS-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WKSC-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KMVQ-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KHKS-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KKHH-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WIOQ-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WIHT-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WXKS-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WKQI-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WHYI-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KQMV-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KDWB-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=KHTS-FM http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/st...?c_let=WFLZ-FM Let's make sure to spread this to other Stevie sites as well!!! The more people who put in an input, the better chances we have of the single charting! We will make Stevie one Happy Helen by doing this. Just to show her she is still relevent in music today! I just filled all mine in for each site, so have to wait about an hour before I can do it again. The more often we request this this week, the higher Secret Love will chart by next Sunday! So, who's in? |
Count me in!
I'll forever be grateful to this lady since I was, after all... named after one of her songs. Okay (Lilyana), sort of? |

Oh no, so am I !!
That's strange. I copied and pasted those links from an Avril Lavigne fansite and they work fine on there. Hold on, let me see... EDIT!!! I figured out why the links are dead. Give me 5 minutes :) EDIT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! The links are working now! |
Is this song really what they are counting on? They gave away the song with purchase and still there is no video. Was this song just a gesture? No one mentions it as their favorite.

I'm in - just done a load of requests :)
|
Did most of them. Some of them would not work for me.
|
I'm in! I'm on my phone right now but tonight on the home computer for sure
who cares if it is the lead single or promo single or free single or whatever it is a decent song and deserves a chance. If the other stuff is better great but that has nothing to do with whether or not we could show this single our support also. |
Seems like too much work. After all of the polls, sign ups, etc. we have done on a grassroots level, I think at this point I will leave it to Warner Brother's....but good luck!
Hell..Lori and Sharon could get on their laptops or ipods and start filling out fields...:D |
Why don't you guys make a hit out of one of her older songs and then she might perform it in concert. How about Imperial Hotel?

I know where she lives... He said, 'Through all these years, Somehow, darling, you have to know... You just have to know'..." :wavey: |
Doing one of her old songs isn't going to help her new album chart.
This project is for helping get her new album some cred, so she's motivated to keep making music  Just starting round 2. Ill check out all the links again to see if they're working EDIT: All the links worked fine for me. :) C'mon guys let's show some fan spirit around here! It doesn't take that long. Just put your favorite Sara demo on and click away ! There have already been 275 people who've looked into this thread. And 16 stations to vote from. If we all did all of them at least once, we would already have had 4400 votes for Secret Love! It's not that hard to do. |
Audience impressions and response are incredibly important for radio stations when determining playlists and deciding how many spins a single will receive during a specific period of time (day/week/weekend). It's very old fashioned, but calling/emailing radio stations to request "Secret Love" - and purchasing it on iTunes - are the best ways to motivate chart growth. Some stations also have feedback and polls on their dedicated websites.
Streaming activity data from online music sources is now included in Billboard's formula, so seek those out as well and provide feedback if allowed. Radio programmers take note of what others are playing as well as noted increases in spins. It's all very follow the leader. Young people tend to offer more feedback on the performers they like and discuss them on chat boards which is one why Britney, Katy Perry, Gaga, etc. overwhelm radio, etc. |
