If you HAD to choose... which is better?

Not a contest.....Secret Love

Both songs suck, but Secret Love is slightly better.
|
I also chose Secret Love. However, I love the sentiment on CTF way better...it's just those darn lyrics that I can't get past.
Interesting that we've now heard the "bookends" of the album, if you will. Do I think Secret Love was a good choice to open the record? Not really, but I still like it. So if the record starts out above average and ends less than average...(you fill in the blanks) |
'Secret Love'
Love it!:) |
Secret Love!! The song seems like such a classic Stevie song to me, although I love CTF for the harmonies and simplicity.
|
These polls are getting really tedious:sorry: It really doesn't matter. Music is a personal, highly subjective thing.

I like reading other opinions. Isn't that why we're all here? |
Toughie.
I love them both, but for now, it's Secret Love. I love the Beatles/Lennon-esque vibe of Cheaper Than Free, though...it's becoming a quick favorite. |
Secret Love- though the songs in the teaser make me even more excited!!!
|
I know I'm in the minority, but Secret Love has never done much for me. I can see that it's more classic Stevie but it's so...beige.
I'm going with CTF. Not a fan of the lyrics, but I think it has more texture--harmonies, stronger instrumentation. Granted, I'm not sure I would have felt the same without the video. |

I'm not sure why, but I'm obsessed with Secret Love. Could be the "oooooweeeee" or the fact that it's Eo17 compared to CTF to me, but I can't get enough of it.

"Secret Love."
"Cheaper Than Free" does not belong on this record. It's already on The Blackbird Diaries for Heaven's sake! |
