Dreams - Literally

In lieu of having anyone else with which to share this, or at least anyone else who might appreciate it, I thought I'd share it here . Last night I had the most vivid dream that I had been recruited as a new member of Fleetwood Mac, and that they were re-recording their classics for a new acoustic/unplugged album. All the band members and myself were told we would find out which songs we had been assigned by checking a list, posted on a noticeboard in the hall of the record label offices! I remember being really thrilled to discover I would be singing 'Gypsy', as well as a newly written song called 'Maria'. It was the best, and yet most bizarre dream I have ever had. I was so disappointed when I woke!

Have any of you ever had Stevie or Fleetwood Mac inspired dreams? Or am I a lone lunatic?

I know - so disappointing. I figure I couldn't have been any worse than the new line-up during the 'Time' era, lol. It was really scarily realistic. I remember being so thrilled that I'd been chosen to sing 'Gypsy', it was as if it had really happened!

I once had a dream with Stevie in a wheelchair - she and I were sharing some Oreo cookies. This was long before her "wheelchair in Haight-Ashbury" reference.

I don't actually know what reference that would be. Could you fill me in?

I've had lots of these dreams also. My fav. one was being asked by Stevie to go on tour and sing w/her because she had bought my album and loved it. So of course i went but we had to swim to get to each concert ! At every show there was a storm or a tornado so we had to wear helmets !! I know exactly what you mean about the disapointment of realizing it was all a dream ! :distress: I was soooo sad after i woke up ! But, on a happier note, those dreams always stick with me all day and sometimes the next. Too bad you have to wake up right ?

It's a quote from an interview she did - either during TISL or SYW. I had it as my signature for years. Something about how she'll never want to stop touring and recording, so to look for her in the Haight, in her rocket-powered wheelchair adorned with feathers. And people would say, "What is that? Oh...it's just Stevie."

 The way you described your dream is priceless. I love the image I have of these soaking wet performers, hair billowing wildly in the breeze beneath yellow hard hats with flashlights on the brims (I added the flashlights when I formed the mental picture). It's weird how the oddest details don't prevent you from believing in it isn't it?! Just like my finding out what I would be singing in the same way as a college/university test result!

I could totally see that. 'Get some ribbons and some bows, take the wheelchair on the road'!

I know ! You'd think from the construction attire i would have a few red flags . It was probably that i wanted it to be true so bad that helmets, tornadoes, and storms were nothing compared to being onstage w/Stevie !!

Exactly - Like I'd be singing 'Gypsy' when Stevie was on hand to do it herself, or new material for that matter. If anything they'd have given me Christine's stuff or else it would have been my own material. Maybe that's what 'Maria' was.. Maybe I should cut a demo...

I've only ever had one Stevie dream, and it was pretty odd. I was having lunch with her and she had on an enormous velvet hood that covered the top half of her head. She was barely speaking, and kind of resembled a dementor.
She finally took the hood off to reveal a gaping black hole in the middle of her forehead, like a third eye. So I guess I was building off the hole in her septum? That image has always wigged me out.

Very strange... I suppose her look and the septum thing would explain how you concocted that odd image in your mind. I'd be curious to know what a creepy acting, hooded rock star with an 'extra facial cavity' might order for lunch!

I had a weird dream a few weeks back, it started off , I'm waiting outside in a motel car park & stressing out knowing i missed my ride to go see a low key Buckingham & Nicks, [Stevie aged 60yrs Lindsey 30yrs:shrug:] perform in a small hall down the road. Anyway in the car park to my surprise I noticed S &L packing their suitcase's & guitars into this Old BRIGHT Yellow topless VolksWagen LOL, i politely asked if i could get a ride, Lindsey said sure jump in we are running late so hang on. Not long after we arrived at this dodgy small hall, S & L were the only one's setting up the stage, without curtains . Stevie sat a the piano then commenced to play POTU, then all of a sudden a big gust of wind hit the stage & from an old suitcase all of Stevie's Rhiannon paintings, poems & written song sheets blew into the small crowd, i ran around like a manic trying to save Stevie's precious belongings from getting stolen, i gathered them all up, though Robin's Rhiannon drawing got torn almost in half,:shocked:, i walked on stage then piled them all back into Stevie's big old suit case. She thanked me.. END OF DREAM... Dont ya hate that.. I know the end was kinda dull & boring:shrug: lol.. I love having Mac dreams:D

I've told this on here before but I once had a dream where Stevie was my substitute aide in highschool. As in she helped me write stuff down. got my books out for me. Stuff like that. Then she sang Landslide while I accompanied her on Guitar. Which is weird cause I don't play guitar:thumbsup:
