Just won £50 at karaoke doing Stand Back!

Hey guys

Last night was fun! Ended up out with mates at a local karaoke bar and not only did they have Stand Back but it was the Soundstage version )which is MUCH easier to sing as it's much lower) I HAD to do it... and ended up getting much more hammered on the £5o prize!

Excellent.

Well done! That rocks. Friends, fun, Stevie and winning money all sound like the making of a great time

I hae NO IDEA how I won. I think it was more that I knew all the words rather than I sung it especiallt well - haha.

Good going! Was that 50 pounds? Anyway ,how much is that in US dollars?

Dodfather 04-03-2011 04:37 PM

It's about $75 dollars. I'm by no means the best singer in the world but can carry a tune if I pick the right one. That's why the Soundstage Stand Bck is good.

Congrats.50 pounds in your wallet.thats enough money for a Stevie tee.I never tried
karaoke yet.I probably get thrown out of the club.

did anyone record you for public display,

Dodfather 04-04-2011 02:37 AM

Sadly no - or I'd have been asking how to share the video. I gather this can only be done by uploading the youtube link to here though? I'd be ahppy for Ledgies to see it but maybe not all over youtube!

mylittledemon 04-04-2011 02:49 AM

Just upload it to YouTube and make it a private video so only the people that have the link can view it. ;)

D'oh! That seems obvious. Ok, if there's video of my next karaoke experience I will.

Me and a few mates also very drunkenly rocked You Give Love A Bad Name. We kicked Jovi's ass!

Really? She didn't lower the key or anything (not sure she knows how to lower keys), unless you're talking about her eschewing pretty much every high note?

Yeah, that's what I mean. Nothing technically specific that she did, just changing a few notes which males a big difference. I also LOVE that arrangement from Soundstage.

Ohh right  I do wish she'd change the keys instead of botching the melodies though... :(
