Stevie and Lindsey could do it...

Frozen Love needs to be on the next Mac album.
After all these years, a remake would be so fabulous, I could barely contain myself.
Obviously, they are not going to tour by themselves as Buckingham Nicks, so, why not re record this song for old time's sake?

Lindsey just needs to agree to re-release Buckingham Nicks on CD...that would be enough for me.

I actually could see this happening the band decided the next Mac album would be the last one. It would seem to be a fitting full circle thing to do.

As much as I love Frozen Love, I would only want them to do it as a B-side or an extra for a deluxe edition. I just feel that no matter what they did with it, it would stick out like a sore thumb in the middle of a new album.

omg they so could!!!! re-release BN and also do it on another MAC album!!!!! fukc yes!

Worst idea ever. We already have the classic version. Why mess with it? With the mindset of Stevie and Lindsey's music these days, it wouldn't have that 70's sound and drive that the song needs, not to mention their voices.

Lindsey is the hold up? Doesn't seem that way in interviews. . . (and I'm not saying Stevie is the hold up either).

No need to re-record it. Though it should be re-released. And they should do some kind of new material as a duo at some point. And they should tour to promote both. And on that tour, they should do Frozen Love.

that's a perfect idea! I wish Stevie and Lindsey would tour together as Buckingham/Nicks...even if just in smaller venues!

I didn't mean to REPLACE the already perfect, first version. I should have clarified...
I meant, a full circle kind of thing, like Louie said in his post.
Maybe a Part 1, and Part 2 deal.
I would simply be interested to hear the 2011 take on Frozen Love, from these two.

My thoughts, exactly.
I mean, Mick already said something in an interview about FM basically evolving into Buckingham Nicks with hinself and John on percussion. I would at least like them to this song in a live show.
They both seemed to light up when Stevie sang two lines from the song, on Lindsey's Soundstage.

Some part of me may feel that that is Christine's sacrifice; in that she believes that B-N need the Mac to go on a journey that doesn't require her anymore.

That's my own fantasy life. And I read too much Henry James.

However, as per your observation about Mick's interview comments, that ain't a bad thing... I just wish that the concerts, albums were designed more in the style of BN which is built on two-part harmonies.

Well, for a while Stevie was saying Lindsey was the hold up, but then Lindsey said he was cool with it and that it was in some "vault" somewhere. He has also said that he thought releasing it "as is" would be the way to go but that management would probably want to do some kind of tour or special packaging and he said he was game with it. Others have said Keith Olsen was the problem and I've even heard it was too complicated to figure out who played on what tracks to make sure everyone got a paycheck. Really? That seems so absurd to me - those people were all credited on the album and other older albums have been re-released without all these complications.

Seriously, I think they are just waiting until they feel the timing is right. My only concern is that it will be too late. But, I would hope after all these years TPTB have a decent marketing strategy planned. The question is: How will the state of WB affect new releases?
