The Wild Heart Book?

Hey Guys--I'm new to the boards, and had a quick Stevie question... I was recently watching a Youtube MTV interview with Stevie regarding the Rock-a-Little era and during the interview Stevie mentioned a book of drawings and poetry entitled "The Wild Heart." I surfed and surfed the web and couldn't find any info regarding it. Just curious is anyone had any deets on why it didn't come out or if it did? Thanks!!!

Book never came out, as olive implied. There was some sort of connection to the Museum of Rock Art in L.A., as I recall, & a postcard with Herb Worthington's art showing on it. I vaguely recall a title--something like "Dreams, Stories & Poems."

I think the Dreams Stories and Poems book was talked about around the time that Street Angel was released. I think it was actually mentioned in one of her press releases and an interviewer asked her about it and Stevie said something like " I don't know why everybody thinks I have a book coming out" and the interviewer said, "it says it right here in your press release". LOL.

I love that interview!

She's so bitchy!:D

I remember people trying to figure out when it was filmed.

It had to be in 1985 but before her hair got bigger!

I've always wondered about it myself. The book, "The Wild Heart", as Stevie said, "a lot of poetry, it's some journalistic stuff, it's a lot of the actual nights of recording of The Wild Heart and the experiences that happened in the two or three year period. There's some things from my Fleetwood Mac stash of ten years of writing, but the real essence of that isn't in this book because that is a book itself, in its own soul that I don't have the time to do yet. It's thick, it's really thick. And it's my life and it's very honest. The names have been changed but it's very honest. I think if you like my work you will like this because it's got a lot of advice and a lot of philosophy in it that either did or did not work for me." Apparently Stevie had the book finished, but in 1985 and 1986 it never surfaced. However, in November 1989 "Wild Heart: An Autobiographical Journey" was given an ISBN:0385189877 and was said to be published by Dolphin Books. The book of course, never was released. As to what actually happened? I haven't a clue! I've been trying to find out for years.
