Stand Back Demo's??
 

anyone have any demos of this song...maybe pre-prince added synth?? would loooooove to hear this song in its infintile state..thanks much...GOING TO BOSTON SHOW WED NITE!! hopes its a goodie..reading a mixed bag as of now...thanks again folks

Stand Back was done in one take. Prince came in and played and she sang. No demos exist, sorry.

Well, Stevie did write it before Prince came over and played on it. So, I'm sure an early synth/drum machine demo exists in Stevie's Vault somewhere, collecting dust.

There are a few "early mixes" of "Stand Back", with the exact same vocals as on the album, so these are not "demos", but different mixes. I have never heard of any actual demos in the fans' hands of "Stand Back"... Or...

"Rhiannon" ~ NOT 1978 piano versions, but from 1974 when Stevie wrote it.

"Landslide"

"Crystal"

"Wild Heart" ~ No, the "Dressing Room" sing~along doesn't count.

"Nightbird"

"Dreams" ~ Alternate mixes/outtakes need not apply!

"I Can't Wait" ~ Again, not counting alternate mixes with exactly the same vocals as the album. Those are not "demos".
