Things you DO NOT want to hear Stevie say in concert
All in good fun, what just makes you cringe when you hear Stevie say it on stage?
What I don't want to hear: 1. "This shawl is sooo old....but so am I!" 2. "This next song I'm going to sing was written by Tom Petty/Bonnie Raitt/Bob Seger." 3. "When Lindsey and I first came to L.A.........." I can't wait to see Stevie, but she always seems to say the same things. Is it because she gets nervous? |
"Um, this next song..."
|
Thank you.

"This next song is another one I didn't write..." :(
|
"I'd like to introduce my good friend Sheryl Crow"

Also, wouldn't be partial to: "Waddy, come closer." Michele |
Oh I got one, "I'll be on TV next week. I'll be performing. Stand Back. Dreams, and a bonus.......Landslide!!!!"
Mick |
"My Dad always thought Landslide was about him."

Stevie needs to simply talk less, limiting her song introductions to two at the very most. By now we all know what Dream is about, what Landslide is about, what Fall from Grace is about and what Sorcerer is about. I find her introductions not only rambling but they completely kill the flow of the concert.
Oh, I also don't want to hear Stevie talk about how we can all save the music business by going to cafes and having a revolution. WTF was that nonsense all about??! |
"My next album will feature Kanye West."

I loved the Gypsy intro for the Unleashed tour and every slight variation thereto. Michele |
