Dixie Chicks & Stevie Nicks - Landslide

Okay so recently this version of Landslide has been bringing me to tears. I usually don't enjoy covers for different reasons, but the way the Dixie Chicks pull it off it orgasmic to my ears. & throw Stevie into that combo, & it's just beautiful..
Plus Stevie is drop dead gorgeous here, just saying ^_^

Ouuu & Awww over it with me, y'all :) Or tell me what'cha think. ;)

I have always loved this. This song should never have been sung WITHOUT Stevie. This version is great because of the end where they hold the maybeee and then like from some beautiful far off place of wisdom and experience comes stevies comforting voice to assure them that everything will be ok. I LOVE how she sings "the landslide will bring it down.....you KNOW the landslide will bring it down" Does anyone know what im talking about? I can not be the only one who really FEELS that last part. AND i love when natalie shouts STEVIE NICKS!! and THE CROWD GOES WILD.

Not a huge fan of The Dixie Chicks or Landslide but this does sound pretty good with all of the musicians playing together. And it doesn't hurt that Stevie looks smokin hot ;). I still can't say I love it though, sorry...

Love it, love Stevie with them more than the DC version, love her happy face and her little ending.

The truth is there is not much difference between Stevie's version and the Dixie Chicks. It was a hit for them because they were the Dixie Chicks. Would of probably reached higher then #7 if Natalia happened opened her mouth. It sank like a hot potato after that and still remained the most played song all year. I bet it would of eventually hit #1.

Anyway, it should of charted in the top 40 for Fleetwood Mac.

It didn't chart for the Mac  I did not know that. It's such a beautiful song. Man, those charts are corrupt.
But yeah, I love when the crowd goes wild for her, & she's all happy & wispy just like I like to see her :)

It wasn't released as a Fleetwood Mac single until The Dance and it charted at 51 on the Hot 100. In 2009, it was certified Gold, being the only other Gold single for Fleetwood Mac alongside Dreams.

Besides that, many artists already rerecorded before the Chicks got their hands on it. They were just the IT group at the time and almost didn't do it because the song had been covered so much. In the world of music, Landslide is not known as the Chicks song.

not a chicks fan, i didn't like their version of the song~ or the way natalie sang over stevie at the diva's performance~ even stevie looked as if she wanted to bust a gut over it~

Woah, I didn't know this existed. Thanks for sharing!

Jerry Douglas on dobro back there, and I sorta know one of the guys on guitar, Cody Kilby, who's part of Ricky Skaggs' group Kentucky Thunder. Next time I see him I'm asking him about this!
