Clare Maguire - (Cross between Stevie & Cher)
 

For most of us in the UK there seems to be a real in0flux of female singer-songwriters on the scene at the moment and others that have really stepped up to the mark over the past few years - ( particularly Adele and Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine).

Some of the UK ledgies may have heard then of this girl Clare Maguire...

I think she has a really strong voice. I personally think she sounds like a cross between Cher, our girl Stevie and a little bit of Annie Lennox...
- I think her overall voice sounds mainly like Cher but in many of her performances I think you can definitely hear little tones and accents that sound similar to Stevie. Not to mention that some of her song-writing has quite mystical lyrics like Miss Nicks.

Is it just me or does she resemble Grace Slick?

She wishes! Call me exquisitely unimpressed. :shrug: The song ain't worth nuthin'... and her voice is nothing like Cher, Stevie or Annie Lennox. Perhaps taking on the shrill tones of Celine Dion on the occasional caterwauling note. Otherwise her voice is decidedly nondescript.
