Does anyone sell on Etsy?

I just started my first shop on Etsy and was wondering if any of you all are selling on there too? I like it better than Ebay.

I've been contemplating selling some of my artwork there, but as of yet confidence keeps me away.

I love Etsy and try to buy from there as often as possible. It's great for unique gifts.

Etsy creeps me out ever since I happened upon this girl on there who sells "pus*y paintings."

Are you referring to the "Monthly Flow" paintings? Or are you talking about something different? Because I have come across many painters on the site who use their own menstrual blood. I'm not sure I'm into art THAT much, to be honest :s

By the way, my store is named Nimins Shop. If you are on there, please say hello. I'll try to create a treasury with you in it or something.

P.S. Nimin is the name of my Warcraft Warlock.

I just threw up a bit in my mouth...

I love Etsy, though. Postage is always really reasonable and my family always seem to love the gifts I buy them from there each christmas!

You should sell some of your work. It is excellent!

Jondalar 02-26-2011 06:26 AM

ok I was talking with a friend tonight who also sells on Etsy and her friend told her that she bought soap from etsy and broke out in hives all over her body. Her friend said she will never buy from Etsy again.

One bad sale shouldn't put anybody off of Etsy. They have some amazingly talented sellers and incredible, unique items up for sale. I've never once been dissappointed with what I've bought from the site. I just shop smart. I wouldn't buy food or cleaning products from there, purely because the idea of somebody "brewing their own soap" creeps me out, and the food thing kind of speaks for itself.

I really enjoy browsing Etsy -- there's always something different to see! I'd love to sell clothes and costumes there one day.
