Sheryl Crow's house

So what do you all think of Sheryl Crow's house? I think its a little too rustic for my taste. I dont really like it much but I will definitley take the pool. She looks great there!

It's gorgeous... and looks exactly the way I'd imagine her home to appear :)

It's totally gorgeous!!!

Meh. It doesn't seem particularly noteworthy to me. It's disappointingly conventional; I was at least hoping to see some amazing pieces of art. Or at least some very artsy Hollywood Regency finishes. But it's like a little slice of Kansas (or Missouri) in hacienda style.

Absolutely beautiful! I'd love to decorate like this. The one thing I'd miss out are the weird deer/stag heads above the master bed though.

The slideshow is taking too long to load on my POS laptop, so I can't see it, but I don't think Hollywood Regency is really SC's style. At least it doesn't seem like it would be. Stevie's, perhaps, but not Sheryl's.

Ewww, say it isn't so! I grew up in Louisiana, where everybody likes to hunt & fish, so seeing deer heads in people's houses was pretty common. My grandparents had one with huge antlers that everyone hung their hats on.

But I've lived away from there (and haven't been back) in so long that, whenever I see that some redneck shirt-tail relative of mine has posted pics on FB of himself next to a deer carcass, I freak out a little.

For god's sake, Sheryl. There are *some* things about the South and the Midwest that are better left behind. Like deer heads. And slavery.

I like it, though it's almost like Kristen Buckingham decorated. A tad on the boring side. To each his own:shrug:.

Well, even though I'm more of a mid century modern type of person myself, I really love Hollywood Regency style, especially when it is applied... in Hollywood! It's not quite deco, not quite arts and crafts, but it has lots of workmanship and detail while still being modern yet eccentric.

I'm definitely a midcentury person as well... and I agree the Hollywood Regency style is glamorous and beautiful. Hollywood Regency style is just so glittery and flashy, though... and when I think of Sheryl, the first word that comes to mind is 'earthy.' And that's exactly what her home projects.

My one niggly thing with her house is that damned old timey bicycle above the fireplace. That's sooo Bennigans/TGI Friday's School Of Interior Design :p.

I noted this as well, not sure I'd want them watching me sleep! :D

You know, you New York people always make fun of us midwesterners!;)

It's pretty, but if I had all the money that she does, that is just not what my house would look like. I'd definitely trade bodies with her before I'd trade dream homes--she's in such great shape (and it probably speaks to the design of the home that I'm noticing her exterior over its interior.)

Her home is pretty but I don't personally like all white walls throughout. I'd add color and make it flow. I don't like multiple colored rooms. The bridge outside is pretty. I do not like the black tiled bathroom though, but granted it's original and old and kept that way. Overall a very nice house.
