looking for acoustic guitar or country
 

hi there. i made a similar post like this on the Stevie forum and I will go over to the FM forums too.....

i am making a cd for someone. i don't know if they like Lindsey or FM, but they do like country music and they love acoustical guitar. so i thought i might add a few Lindsey, FM, SN songs to the cd.

i know we can't post released songs here, but if anyone has any great quality demos of songs that did make it to album/cd (or not) that are really strong in Lindsey's beautiful acoustical guitar sound, could you post some here? Also, any of his really catchy, uplifting songs?

If they are a country fan, you definitely include "Cool Water" - a b-side release (I think with "Gypsy").

I would add "Down on Rodeo" and "Never Going Back Again" I supose

I think the Live in Boston version, especially, of NGBA, as well as Second Hand News would both appeal to someone who likes country. Dancin' Cross the USA definitely. I've heard a country cover of Steal Your Heart Away, and it was great. She Smiled Sweetly from the bootleg GOS. Also, not really countyish, but if he loves acoustic, I'd certainly add Bel Air Rain. Not Too Late - with Little Big Town, as well as Bones/The Chain, also with LBT.

i can't believe it - i totally forgot about Steal Your Heart away from my SYW cd!!! and bleed to love her.......duh me!!!! well, with any luck they will like the cd and i can make them another one sometime. and now i am so in the mood to make myself a nice lindsey cd also. i never made an all lindsey one before. but it sounds like it would really hit the spot right now. i love his acoustic-y stuff and his catchy "pop" stuff. it just gets you in a good mood.
