Eargasm

Yes, yes,
I know what a childish thread.
Recently, scientists have proven a link between an orgasm and listening to music. When one is listening to music, the same chemical is realesed into the brain. This chemical is called dopamine. The internet has coined the term Eargasm to recognize a moment in a song which to you sounds so vivid and luscious.

What song gives you an Eargasm?

(Specifically 1:00 - 1:30)

(Specifically 0:30 - 1:40)

And last but not least, Brown Eyes - Fleetwood Mac

I swear to God, this may be the most incredible song ever written. Listen to the full thing, but pay extra close attention from 3:15 until the end. It moves me every single time I hear it, and I listen to it at least 10 time a day.

I'm on a musical kick. Soooooo......the brilliant Tommy Korberg with Anthem from Chess.

I dedicate this to my husband, Chris ;) ♥
But really, this is a majorly luscious song to my ears.

I like it. First song I've listened to of his.

EXCELLENT choice! Love to sing this song when I'm home alone.. lol! But Mr. Körberg owns this song... to my ears the song needs his phrasing and timbre. Funny thing is, I'm not really a fan of musicals in general, but am a big fan of almost anything Benny Andersson (of ABBA) has composed.

If you haven't heard it, Andersson's musical Kristina från Duvemåla (based on the 4 emigrant novels by Vilhelm Moberg) is outstanding! The music is epic, moving, and very tastefully done (also a very LOOONG musical). The English version (known simply as "Kristina") that was done this past year is nice (albeit shortened), but it can't hold a candle to the Swedish version IMO... thankfully Helen Sjöholm has the lead in both versions (she IS Kristina as far as I'm concerned), but Peter Jöback as Robert is sorely missed by me in the English version.

Jill, WHAT?

He's incredible. Absolutely, positively, mindblowingly incredible. I'm sure you've heard his cover of "Hallelujah"-- it's the most played.

I have too many favorites to list just one song that comes to mind... but I started liking this song on the radio right after I moved to Florida last year and would jam it last summer. Although I never was into Keith Urban's music before this, I thought this song was beautifully done. Just something lyrically about it that evokes images and makes a good song to me. Love the video too.

Nice! I enjoyed that. Will have to look up some more.

On another note, in reply to this thread, another song that is a total eargasm to me, is any version of The Chain live.
Christine & Stevie's vocals, and John's bass line is the most delicious to me. Especially when Christine goes "Never break, never break the chain," during the chorus.
