Candles

My boyfriend has introduced to me the wonders of scented candles!:) I can't believe I haven't gotten into them before I did. Some of the scents he has are so soothing and relaxing, I"M HOOKED!:blob1::laugh: I thought I'd add a poll with this thread because these 2 companies both have excellent selections, and I wanted to see which one my fellow ledgies preferred.

Just use incense guys!
Incense is mostly cheap, and you can get the in many smells.
Patchouli incense is awesome, and I feel that it'is a way better substitute than some waxy little candle. And, it spreads so easily!

I've only ever used Yankee candles before, but that was awhile ago. My mom works at a candle shop so we get our candles from there :P I have Raspberry Cream and Blueberry Cobbler in my room, but I haven't burned them yet. Outside my room my mom has A Nag Champa candle, but upstairs she has Patchouli Raspberry and that one is my favorite!

Has anyone ever tried 'Illume' candles? Would you recommend them?

I found some when I was in California, but they were a little pricey.

I've always been a fan of Yankee Candles. They have some gorgeous scents. I particularly love their "Evening Air" collection.

I'm a Yankee Candle person myself. I'm currently in love with the garden hideaway candle.

the best candles are made by candleberry. i don't even have to light it and it makes my entire apartment smell like hot maple toddy. mmmmmmmm...

The Yankee brand smells amazing but there's no way I'm paying 25+ for a candle.

My absolute favorite candle scent is Angel Whispers by Glade. I always have them burning in my room.

I can't imagine burning incense in my house- I think incense smells "dirty."

I do love candles, though. I usually use a cinnamon type scent. Caitlin, is Eucalyptus and Sparkling Cinnamon one candle or two? If one- that sounds amazing.

They're like Fifty freaking dollars per candle. My fav gift store in Charlotte sold them. They did smell nice... but not $50 nice.

I wish I could remember the brand candles I used to buy. They were fantastic, but not terribly expensive either. Like Meowi pointed out, I've been using incense for years instead.... MUCH cheaper. And the smell permeates the house more, too. I still have cheap candles everywhere for light, though. So you get the best of both atmospheres: incense for smell, candles for light :).

I go to Trapp Candles to fulfill all my candle-related needs.
