Does anyone ever get their hands on the version that was supposed to go on Say You Will? Not sure if it ever made it out there to be honest.

I saw Stevie singing on the track on the Destiny Rules doc and was hoping someone had a full version of it.

If not, if someone could get me the audio of Stevie singing (from the DVD) I could probably mix it into the UTS version.

I don't have a full version. I took this audio from the documentary, but it's all of the audio from that over 13 minute part because I don't know how to get just the song.

haha... No really, she's singing in a different key. Even when I line the vocals up, it just sounds bad. It's like listening to someone bang on pots -n- pans. ;)

Yeah I didn't notice it before, but the version of "I Am Waiting" that Lindsey is singing on the SYW documentary is also in a different key than what ended up on UTS. :rolleyes:

He seems to just play it in a different key each time. The Soundstage version is higher than the one on UTS as well.

I've never much like those harmonies of Stevie's on IAW. I think the Lindsey only version is much better. Then again, I think that about all of the GOS versions without Stevie are better than the SYW ones where she's just jammed in.

I sorta figured when he had the capo on and kept fooling around with the key, asking her how she was going to sing it.

I know she's not "necessary" on those songs, but I like the harmony. I never listen to IAW without hearing her voice in my head anymore... thanks to DR...

I would have liked to have heard what Lindsey would have done with that song in particular. For instance, the way he worked her voice in on Miranda sounds really cool. I also like the fade out on BTLH where she goes "if that's all there is". (correction: not BTLH - I meant SYHA)

Yes, I think her voice is good and compliments Miranda and his is good and adds to EFO and Thrown Down.
