the "leaked" version on youtube has hit 22,774 hits in one week (1/13/11- 1/21/11) - what do you guys think? Is this good or do you think the buzz is becoming a Hmmmmmm?

And if so... what could we do to buzz up the Hmmmmm?... discuss.

I've debated this as well. I mean- the single hasn't been released yet. And I don't have any kind of numbers to compare this to. I've posted a link to it on the Stevie Nicks FB page (130,000 members), and anywhere else I can think, really.

I'm straining my mind to remember Talk to Me being released before Rock a little and the response was good to the single and to the album but not as hot as her previous two.

I do remember hearing Rooms on fire for the first time on the car radio and being totally PSYCHED about the album and the "NEW" sound, but not so much with the album (though I love it)

But each of those songs and albums all fit PERFECTLY into my life at the time as is this one, so I'm hoping it's a great success and am looking forward to the way the other songs will reflect my life as it is..

My issue with the song being 'leaked' is that if it's okay for this one to stay on Youtube, how come WMG bars uploading some past FM songs/videos??

Well I don't know, maybe they're lightening up on everything from this point forward?

It's because they want to promote this single and give it legs before it's officially released. They're essentially priming the pump, and hoping it'll create buzz for this song which will hopefully turn into radio play requests, and eventually grow demand for the album when it's released. This is 21st century promoting. Like I said before, this song being posted on youtube and facebook is essentially the 21st Century version of hearing the song on the radio.

The reason why past songs are taken down by WB is because they aren't promoting the songs anymore, and are losing revenue by people just listening to them online vs buying the album.

I thought the title of this thread referred to how many men Stevie had sex with. :shrug:

That people first hear it and are all abuzz and love it and tell everyone about it to people hearing it and going hmm that was nice and then talk about the weather
