NicksFIXED...as in stone age irrelevance

I know this question is probably oxymoronic. But does anybody else find it strange that the NicksFix has no mention or even a hint about Stevie's Ellen Show appearance or her exciting "special announcement" by now?! 2 days before it airs:confused:

If there were ever a doubt about it's irrelevance, this should put a knife in it. UGH!

We should all send JohnK emails asking him to confirm Something... Anything to get the NicksFIXED off their A$$.

John Kinney has long ago burned out and stopped caring. Years, and years ago. I wish I had website/html knowledge... I'd volunteer to keep it current for him. God knows, I have the time. But alas, I am a technophobe. I guess my point is none of us can complain unless we're willing to help change things ourselves. Perhaps someone who DOES have the proper knowledge can approach him about volunteering to help with the site. Bueller? Bueller? :D

^^Perhaps it's a bit hasty to pin the blame on John Kinney since I suspect that Stevie's people may be micro-managing the content. It seems that Stevie's hatred/fear of the internet is so deeply entrenched that her people are probably justing towing the party line. Remember, this is a woman who still writes handwritten notes to post on the web.

I would agree except for the fact... why is it oxymoronic?? I can't find a relationship between the word meaning and the question.

I think the person who runs "Nickslive" should take over the Nicks Fix...or maybe the girl who created the Stevie Nicks Underground about 10 years ago. That site was AMAZING!!!

...in a perfect world...

You're right:cool: I really meant it's moronic to ask the question when I(we) already pretty much know the answer. Like why keep beating ourselves up, when the result never changes. I guess I still hold out hope that Stevie will funnel some pocket change to have someone revamp the site and make it more interesting & dynamic. Though ultimately the question still begs to be asked since it is after all her official site.

Doesn't change the fact that it looks like the website is stuck in 2003. Content aside, the layout /design is just hopelessly dated.

And especially being its her frigging "offical" website! Oh dont get me started!! :]

I happen to check today to see if the Ellen show was there.......

2003 is pretty generous ;)
Considering it was a fansite to begin with (wasn't it?), the idea of another fan taking over isn't out of the question at all. As it stands, it doesn't begin to hold a candle to Nickslive and The Penguin as a source of current and archive information.

I don't mind that one bit. It's to let us know they actually came from her.

VERY Generous! The layout was updated ever so slightly when it became her official site after the "Enchanted" era if memory serves me right. The revamps since consisted of a new header or background color maybe twice in the last 10 yrs. The TISL photo era banner has been the same since TISL was released 10 years ago. IT REALLY IS SHOCKING! I know, I know she's a luddite, but she is also in a biz that is dependent on technology and innovation. Here's hoping Dave Stewart's influence also spills over to her site very soon. His website is really nice, with fantastic graphics, photography, videos, music...you know all the essentials PLUS steady updates!

Probably. But I think Stevie herself doesn't care either, it's well known she doesn't like websites and internet stuff, she didn't owns a PC or so I read, but also it seems she doesn't care on having her website up to date. Remember the Ask Stevie section, so erratic, laconic answers. anyway, her team should care.

We all know she herself is not into the internet blah blah blah...., But good point......shouldn't her team, or marketing peeps or someone give a fock about this site?

Just update the damm thing

From Funk & Wagnell's Standard Dictionary, 1976:

"Strange: (adj.) 1.) Previously unknown, unseen, or unheard of; unfamiliar.

2.) Not according to the ordinary way; unaccountable; remarkable."

No, I don't find it strange at all. Quite the opposite.
