Gift of Screws Demo Artwork

Does anyone have a high res pic of the Gift of Screws unreleased album from 2001? I can't seem to find it anywhere. It looks very similar to Tom Petty's Highway Companion cover (could have been the same artist). I appreciate any help.

thanks, Wilson

:distress: We do not have a cover that is so different?
What do you mean? He's leaning on the counsel with
his guitar, rather contemplative! Nicely done !!! C.

p.s. I just read your script over again...you must mean
a drawing on unreleased work...mine was unadorned!!!
We played it till it smoked!:D Great genius collection!C.

I think I know the one, let me see if I can find it. It was posted here not so long ago.

Edit: Woops, sorry, I just noticed you need a hi-res picture. Afraid this is the best I could find:

Yeah, I remember this coming up before too, but I don't recall a high res version ever being posted.

This is the one I used for my CD cover ( same as posted by Sahara ) and it looked OK...it is a boot after all

except for the lettering/font, I think it was a very appropriate and beautiful image for it. I wish Lindsey had really used that.

That's it! Thanks! Does anyone have it as a bigger jpeg?

GOS...drawn out history !!!

That one was passed around.. but the musician who sent mine
to me kept it as just a work in progress! Great Lindsey Music!!!
It pleased us to see it published and sold as a Lindsey work in
2008 as we die-hard fanatics had waited for years to purchase it!:] C.

Me too. Though I definitely see, as others have mentioned, that the GOS cover is kind of a full circle thing with the L&O cover ( same pose, similar look, opposite sides of the album, young to old... ), I think this bootleg cover would have been perfect for the official album.

I actually liked the raw and understated image of himself he used for his album cover. True to form, he's allowing the music to speak for itself.

Now that's an understatement!

Can't argue with you there though!

By contrast, when I saw that cover, I stopped listening to the music, gasped and said, "What in the devil?! TMZ mug shot. The album cover muted the music, I was so temporarily distracted by it.

To me, it wasn't just Lindsey unadorned, wearing age gracefully. We saw plenty of shots of Lindsey like that in the last five years. But the cover seemed different. It wasn't natural. More like a studied look at dissipation. So, I thought it was trying to say something about and for the music.
