I just really detest what I've heard of that song. Adult Contemporary trash. And I personally don't think Dave and Stevie's voices blend AT ALL. I just hope this isn't a taste of what's to come with Stevie's new album... but with the addition of Annabel Lee, I'm guessing it is :distress:.

Agreed. I'm still holding hope though that it will be a typical Stevie album and that Dave's prints aren't all over it. If these two songs make the cut, then it's safe to say the rest of the album will have a similar feel unless they happen to be stand-alone tracks.

I was excited for a split second. This is not new. This is the demo that Dave S. leaked last March on Twitter right after he and Stevie first began writing songs together. I'm sure the final version recorded in the studio last summer will be much more polished, and if Dave's vocals are still prominent on the track, I bet they will be mixed in a way that is more pleasing. Ann Marie Calhoun adds a nice touch on violin. I suspect the new CD will feature strings on several tracks which is also one of Dave's trademark's.

The song has potential. I look forward to it's final form.

I'm lukewarm at best after the first listen.

Oh come on Louie! This is the new Sisters of the Moon! "And the people, they love her, but still they're the most cruel!" "Everybody loves you, but you're so alone" don't you see the similarities?!!?! I bet Stevie does! All this song needs is a jolt of cocaine and some whargarbl and possibly a wtf line such as "and the starts and the river and the moon and the WELLLLLLLLL I thought I told you that this the the edge of the world in a starstream snow dream, LILYYYYYY!!!!!!" and it might not suck some major boar tits!

Oh dear Stevie...What have you done? *Shakes head in dismay* It sounds like something a lesser artist would have released in the nineties. I hope this isn't a sign of the entire album to come.

Way to be positive! I agree!
Rough, not yet mixed or polished tracks are very hard to make a good judgement on.
I also highly doubt Stevie will release an album of these types of tracks, and compare it to Bella Donna.
