Vocal Range?

I've read that Stevie is listed as a contralto, but when she was singing in the earlier Fleetwood Mac and Buckingham Nicks albums her voice sounded alot higher, was her vocal range different back then where she could be a mezzo-soprano or is that too high?

Just figured i'd ask cause it's bugging me.

There was a long, detailed and very interesting discussion about Stevie, Lindsey and Christine's vocal ranges either earlier this year or late last. They were led by a Ledgie who seems to be some kind of vocal coach so was going into very detailed descriptions of the technical dchanges in all of their voices etc - going right into specific notes over the years etc. Sorry I can't remember the name of the original poster but it's worth searching for because it will answer any questions you may have.

I spoke with Warmsir a lot on this topic on YouTube, I'm no vocal coach or singer but I absolutely love vocals, technical aspects of them and all that. He told me my ear for pitch was better than his, but he helped me make this video:

It was his idea to listen to her speaking voice, and sure enough it shows an entire half an octave Stevie doesn't use to sing!
