Crystal Visions DVD?

Believe it or not, I never got around to buying this. Now that Christmas is coming up should I put it on my list? I've heard there are home movies of the making of Bella Donna but I don't see anything about that on the track listing on Amazon. I'd love it just for that.

not really 'home videos' ...but there is footage from the Bella Donna recording sessions in the studio with Stevie, Jimmy and the Girls recording songs like Blue Lamp, Leather and Lace, How Still My Love, and some others. And Stevie doing some crazy dance to an early recording of Edge Of Seventeen. the bottom Gif in my sig is from the CV DVD.

I'm definitely getting that DVD now. I too don't have it yet, have only seen the CD version in stores, so I have that one. but will have the DVD soon. She's going on my Christmas list, I know that much! I already asked for the Enchanted box set though:)

It is worth for Stevie's commentary on the videos alone!

I got it earlier this year and I highly recommend it. Its a 2 disc set - one DVD and one CD. The DVD has the videos for Stop Dragging My Heart Around, Edge Of 17, both versions of Stand Back, If Anyone Falls In Love, Talk to Me, I Can't wait, Rooms on Fire, Whole Lotta Trouble, Sometimes Its a B*tch, Blue Denim, Everyday and Sorcerer. All of these videos feature "new" optional commentaries by Stevie - must listen to them!

The CD has Edge of 17 - original and a live version, I Can't Wait, Sorcerer, If Anyone Falls in Love, Stop Draggin my heart around, Silver Springs (original), Dreams (w/Deep Dish), a live version of Rhiannon, Rooms on Fire, Talk to Me, live version of Landslide, Stand Back, Planets of the universe, live version of Rock and Roll, and Leather and Lace.

The CD and DVD really compliment each other well. Some songs on the DVd that aren't on the Cd and vice versa.

The really special thing about the DVD is the recording session clips of Stevie and company recording the Bella Donna album, along with several montages of Stevie and the girls set to "Outside the Rain" and "After the Glitter Fades", sorta hidden songs on the DVD, if you will.

And the booklet too, Stevie writes about each of the songs and what they mean to her - lots of good photos too...

I think I'll put the DVD on right now...

Hope this helps out...just make sure you get the CD and the DVD!!!

I guess they sell it as a CD or DVD/CD set. Buy the combo set, and just keep the other CD or pass it on to a friend or family member.

Oh not me. Me and my cousin watched the videos with commentary since we're both Nicks heads...and well, Nicks gave us both a headache after the first three. I hate to say this...but I'm not real big on her stories or maybe it's how she tells them.

We love the music videos though!

Really, I thought she was pretty damn funny! The commentary on SDMHA and the Scarlet version of Stand Back had me cracking up! "Where's my maid, and why are all these chickens on the porch"

"Serveral different times that horse ...tried to kill me. I can't exactly remember what the hell my idea was."

"Take me home.. what the heck does that mean?"

She's so funny, and she doesn't even realize it.

MariaA37 11-09-2010 08:22 PM

Thanks everyone. I put it on my Christmas list.
